Twitch has banned the New Zealand streamer Quin69. The action role-playing game expert is currently leading worldwide in Last Epoch (Steam). This is his fifth ban from the platform.
Who is Quin69?
- Quinn Crawford, known as Quin69, is a designated expert in action role-playing games. His “main game” is Path of Exile, but he is also at home in Diablo. Recently, he was the far leading player in the Steam hit Last Epoch, ahead of Raxxanterax and wudijo in the last 30 days.
- Quin69 is a New Zealander and has a love-hate relationship with his fans. He is generally considered a nice guy, but he often has his outbursts—especially when provoked by his viewers.
- When he plays, it usually goes well, but whenever he comments on politically sensitive topics, a ban is not far off. Once he said, he ties his hair into a turban – like a terrorist. There was another ban for suggesting that women showing their buttocks were asking to be “sexually abused by crazies.”
Quin69 became known to a larger audience when he held a crazy and very expensive self-experiment in Diablo Immortal.
No one is surprised by the ban
What did he just do? The reasons for Quin69’s current 5th ban from Twitch are still unknown, as is the length of the ban.
All that is known is that Quin69 has been banned.
On reddit, people are not surprised by the ban; they know how Quin69 operates.
One user explained that Quin69 just needs to stick to gaming. He knows how easily he gets into trouble when he reacts to others’ content and then wants to “act smart”:
“He only gets banned when he reacts to stuff, but he keeps doing it because it’s lazy content, and somehow he believes people want to hear his opinion on everything. I don’t know: maybe just stick to video games?”
Others add that Quin69 has also been banned for “brain-dead takes” he expressed while playing. In the chat, all it takes is for someone to bring up a topic where Quin69 wants to give the impression that he is knowledgeable.
