All year round, various events take place in Fallout 76 that offer rewards. One of them was supposed to be disrupted by trolls, who aimed to bombard the event area. However, the participants are remarkably undisturbed by this.
This is happening in Fallout 76:
- The Fasnacht event in Fallout 76 is currently underway, which was the very first event ever. In this event, players must protect a parade of robots.
- Some villains are using atomic bombs to disrupt the event and contaminate the entire area.
- The participants take it easy – they even thank the trolls, as they now receive rare materials.
What kind of event is this? During the Fasnacht event, a parade of Protectrons moves through the Swiss village of Helvetia in Fallout 76. Players must protect the parade from attackers and ensure it reaches its destination.
As a reward, there are unique cosmetics like masks that you can only obtain during the Fasnacht event. Accordingly, Fasnacht is particularly popular among fans.
This year, however, bored trolls appear to have taken it upon themselves to disrupt the event. They activate atomic bombs and drop them on the event area. But the players who want to enjoy the Fasnacht make the best of it and even thank the villains.
Trolls bombard the Fasnacht, ensure rare materials
This is why fans thank the trolls: The bombardment with atomic bombs contaminates the areas in Fallout 76. This effect allows the gathering of resources that do not exist in “healthy” areas, such as the coveted Flux.
Flux is needed to craft special items. It comes in various colors, some of which are rarer than others. The areas where these colors would occur are rarely targeted by bomb strikes. Atomic bombs are usually used on fissures or other spots to summon the coveted bosses of Fallout 76.
A user on reddit thanks the trolls for finally receiving cobalt-colored Flux and receives a lot of support. The event area is also full of enemies to gather the masses and liquids needed for crafting stable Flux.
Doesn’t that still disturb? Especially for new players, the bomb can be more disturbing since they do not yet have strong equipment to protect themselves against radiation. Particularly helpful players distribute protective suits to newcomers so they can survive, but this doesn’t always happen.
A bombarded Fasnacht is not ideal, but at least fans make the best of the situation. And as a little bonus, you might even pick up some useful mutations while wandering around in contaminated areas:
“First” event starts again – Big roadmap 2022 coming
As part of the Fasnacht event, Bethesda has directly apologized for being so quiet in recent times. The last update was the big worlds update that makes you into gods, and the “Night of the Moth” in fall and winter 2021.
However, a lot has been prepared for 2022, and there are already “great plans for Fallout 76“. The roadmap for this year is expected to be released in February. The big update “Invaders from Beyond” is also on the way and is scheduled to start in March.
