In Apex Legends there is a new world record for “Kills with 3 players.” A team managed to eliminate 48 opponents, while there are only 60 players per round. We show you the video of the victory and explain why others criticize the record.
The previous world record stood at: The previous record for kills in Trio mode at Apex Legends stood at 46. This was set by a trio group in March 2019.
Currently, there is only the Trio mode in Apex Legends, while a solo and duo mode is still awaited.
Who set the record? The three players were
- Gnaske_Lone_TTV with Pathfinder and 14 kills
- N000k with Lifeline and 18 kills
- Ya_em_detei_lol with Wraith and 16 kills
This means that in the 60-player lobby, there were only 9 players who were not killed by the team.
Here you can see the incredible record: The record is captured here in a video by Gnaske Lone.
The absurdity of the video is that the player with Pathfinder records the video and is more in explanation mode at the beginning.
The three players land at completely different points on the map of Apex Legends, and where the Pathfinder is, not much happens at the beginning of the match. He can give tips there while his two buddies are already collecting a lot of kills.
In the mid-game, the Pathfinder then turns it up and can contribute some kills to the record himself. In one situation, he ambushes a victim until they have revived a friend and then eliminates both.
Only late in the match do they realize that they are on a world record course. Then the team tries specifically to let opponents revive so they can get the last kills they need.
However, the Pathfinder dies in the endgame and can only cheer on his partners.

Accusation: Farming and Smurfing
This is how fans react. Fans discuss this on reddit:
- Some are impressed because there are only 60 players in Apex Legends, that eliminating 48 is already intense.
- Others express doubts about the record, stating that letting opponents revive to farm them is not okay.
- Another even says that the three created “new accounts.” There is a special rule in Apex Legends that players with new accounts are only matched with other players who have new accounts. This is called smurfing. Essentially, three top players would face off against beginners.
It is indeed noticeable that according to the Apex Legends Tracker players with levels 2 and 7 have low account levels (via Apex Legends Tracker – n00k) – the third account cannot be found.
However, it is controversially discussed on reddit whether there is such a “matchmaking for low levels.” Others say the critics are just envious.
In any case, both the Reddit thread about the record and the YouTube video have received surprisingly little approval and attention.
