Currently, there is a lot of stress from trainers in Pokémon GO who rely on Rocket Grunts. They cannot level up at the moment because Team Rocket is disabled.
This is the current status: Since April 10th, for 10 days now, the Rockets in Pokémon GO are disabled. This is due to a critical bug that occurs when trainers click on the Rocket encounter. Their entire game froze, and they had to restart.
A return of the Rocket Grunts is still pending. It is still unknown when the feature will be back online. The problem is: Many trainers rely on the Grunts to level up in Pokémon GO.
Trainer says: “I can’t level up right now”
What exactly is the problem? At the latest, at level 44, trainers will have problems. To reach level 45, you must defeat 100 Rocket Grunts and 50 Rocket Leaders. They are currently simply unavailable, so no progress can be made there.
So, if you are stuck at level 44, there’s nothing you can do but wait. There is no way to complete the task with the Rocket Grunts.
This is what trainers say about it: Currently, there is a thread on the topic in the Pokémon GO subreddit. One user suggests that at least the stardust bonus from Rival Week should be extended until the Rocket Grunts reappear.
In the thread, many trainers write that they are affected by the disappearance of the Rocket Grunts. For example, Spinkick9000 says: “Here is someone who is stuck at level 44. I really can’t level up until they fix Team Rocket.”
Another trainer reports that he only needs one more Rocket Leader for the level-up and simply cannot complete it.
What remains now? Waiting and sipping tea is the motto for all trainers stuck at level 44. However, there are also special research tasks that require defeating Rocket Grunts. This is currently not possible either, so no progress can be made there.
The Rocket feature is one of the central points in Pokémon GO, so it can be expected that a solution is being worked on at full speed. However, the PvP League, another central point, was offline for several weeks after cheating incidents. A solution for that also came late.
