There are new hints about 2 Mega Evolutions in Pokémon GO that many trainers are eagerly awaiting.
Again and again, there are hints from so-called data miners in the game. The game files are being searched to discover changes, such as new images of monsters, also called assets, or texts. The most well-known group of data miners for Pokémon GO is probably the Pokeminer.
On their Discord, they have now published new changes in the game related to 2 Mega Evolutions, which should interest many trainers.
New Assets, New Hope
What kind of Mega Evolutions are these? The new hints relate to the two Mega Evolutions of one of the most powerful Pokémon ever: Mewtwo. The monster has 2 different Mega Forms: Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y.
In the past, assets for the two forms have been added to the game, but the two forms have not been released yet. The Pokeminer believe that the assets were not intentionally included in the game at that time.
Now the data miners have noticed that enlarged variants of the two Mega Evolutions have made it into the game. Additionally, the cries of the two monsters have been adjusted. These were previously swapped.
What else was discovered? Also, assets for the monsters Flaminkno and the mysterious monster Zeraora have been discovered in the game.

When will the Mega Evolutions be released? When exactly the two Mewtwo forms will be released in the game is still not known.
Even though adding assets is an important step before the release of new monsters, it does not mean that the monsters have to debut in the next few weeks. There is still no official information from Pokémon GO regarding the two evolutions.
At least theoretically, a release of the two Mega Forms this year would fit well. Pokémon GO is celebrating its 10th anniversary this summer.
