What was caught? The trainer phatmeese shared a screenshot in the Pokémon GO reddit community of a Pokémon he caught on 22.2.2022. Just the date alone is something special. But paired with such a rare Pokémon, this catch draws huge attention.
The trainer caught a Wrestling Pikachu in its shiny form. And that’s not all that makes this catch so special.

This is what the catch shows: In the screenshot, you can see the shiny form of a Wrestling Pikachu that was caught on February 22, 2022, in Canada. The evaluation from the team leader shows that the Pikachu is “perfect.” It has 100% IV, which means the best battle stats that the Pokémon can have.
Pokémon with the highest amount of battle stats are extremely rare and accordingly sought after by trainers. You need a lot of luck to get one. The trainer comments on the image with “What a catch on 22.02.2022! It still feels unreal.”
