In Pokémon GO, a trainer has caught 100 perfect monsters and shows where he found them. We from MeinMMO have looked at which areas he was most fortunate and which is his most valuable specimen.
Which monsters are we talking about? In Pokémon GO, many players pay special attention to rare monsters. In addition to shiny specimens, which differ in color from the actual Pokémon, there are also the so-called Hundos.
These are Pokémon that have a perfect rating, i.e., 100% IV or 4 stars. If a monster has such a rating, it can optimally utilize its potential in attack, stamina, and defense, which can be particularly helpful in battle with the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
However, just like Shinys, Hundos are not found around every corner in the game. And they occur even more rarely in combination, as Shundos. A trainer now reports in his reddit post about how he managed to catch 100 Hundos and shows his most valuable specimen.
How did skyhiker14 obtain the Hundos?
As the reddit user skyhiker14 reports in his current post, he achieved a very special milestone last year. He has caught 100 Hundos, which are Pokémon that have a perfect IV.
He wants to share this collection with the other trainers in the community and reveals how he got the monsters. He writes (via reddit.com): “Last year I achieved 100 Hundos, so I thought it would be good to break down where they all came from.”
How did he find the Hundos? As skyhiker14 reports, he was able to find the 100 Hundos in various ways. The majority, according to him, were obtained in the wild, followed by eggs and monsters from field research.
He had the fewest encounters with a perfect monster in research breakthroughs, with Crypto-Pokémon, as well as with surprises after snapshots. His perfect Pokémon break down as follows:
- 29x in the wild
- 21x hatched
- 17x from field research
- 17x rescued monsters
- 6x traded Pokémon (of which 5 are lucky Pokémon)
- 3x from raids (2 from 1-star raids and 1 from 5-star raids)
- 2x from timed research
- 2x from special research
- 1x from the research breakthrough
- 1x Crypto-Pokémon from Team GO Rocket
- 1x surprise encounter after the snapshot
How many monsters did he have to catch for this? To achieve this goal, he had to secure a lot of monsters beforehand. His statistics show, among other things, that he had already caught 84,932 Pokémon and hatched 5,238 eggs. In addition, he completed 785 legendary raids, 2,850 rocket battles, and 3,362 trading actions.
The most valuable Hundo in his collection
Of the total 100 perfect Pokémon, four were also very special specimens. skyhiker14 explains that he was able to secure four Shundos. He seems a bit disappointed that there are so few, as he writes: “Only four of the 100 were Shundo, of which three came from trades.”
One of them, however, he is particularly proud of and refers to it as his “crown jewel”. It is a shiny Mewtwo with a perfect IV.

Why is Mewtwo special? The legendary monster is really worth it, as Mewtwo has an enormous attack value and acts as a true all-rounder due to its variety of attacks. In raids, you should not miss it as one of the best psychic attackers on your team. And also in the Master League, Mewtwo is one of the top contenders according to the PvPoke ranking (via pvpoke.com).

Other trainers have few Shundos as well
The community appreciates skyhiker14’s post, as it encourages many trainers to follow suit and post their own Hundo statistics in the comments. It quickly becomes clear that other trainers also have relatively little luck regarding Shundos. Here’s what you can read:
- wildduck73: “I have been playing since November 2016. I am level 50 and have caught 182,500 Pokemon (by hand, no Gotcha). I have a total of 165 Hundos and have never seen a Shundo.”
- MathProfGeneva: “‘Only 4’ Shundo. Um, that’s an amazing ratio. I have 359 Hundos (and accidentally deleted 2 others). I have 3 Shundo.”
What is your Hundo ratio in Pokémon? And how many perfect Shinys have you already secured? Feel free to write your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers about it.

- duel_wielding_rouge: “Day-one player, 400 Hundos. No Shundo.”
