During gamescom 2022, the developers of Tower of Fantasy announced the first expansion. The update brings a lot of new content to the free MMORPG.
On Wednesday, August 24th, the developers Hotta Studios will present a new trailer for Tower of Fantasy, showcasing a new zone.
What kind of zone is it? The update throws you into a desert landscape and eventually leads you to the cyberpunk city of Mirroria City. In the “Vera” region, you will encounter previously unknown world bosses and can participate in new instances and raids. You should also be able to farm additional mounts there.
The corresponding city is the floating metropolis Mirroria City. Fitting the sci-fi setting of Tower of Fantasy, it impresses visually with strong cyberpunk elements. Everything looks futuristic, metallic, and is filled with neon signs.
In this city, the main story of the MMORPG will continue.

What kind of game is this anyway? Tower of Fantasy is a new anime MMORPG with gacha elements, reminiscent of Genshin Impact. It celebrated its global release on August 11, 2022, prior to that, the game was only available in China.
You create a character but are not bound to a fixed class. Instead, you are able to draw new characters, called Simulacra, which you can equip and upgrade.
Once you have combed through the initial story, various daily quests and content await you, which will further improve your character and provide you with resources for the gacha system.
Frigg as the new SSR character
Just a few days ago, the developers announced on the Tower of Fantasy Twitter account that a new playable character (called “Simulacrum” in Tower of Fantasy) will soon be added. Frigg, who you have only encountered as an NPC so far, will become part of your team starting in September.
From the story, you likely know Frigg as the commander of the heirs of Aida. In combat, you will have to battle against her multiple times.
The matching weapon of the Simulacrum is called Balmung: A sword in each hand, with which you attack quickly and perform ice attacks. Frigg belongs to the DPS classes in Tower of Fantasy.

When is the update coming? Hotta Studios will introduce the new character to the game on September 1st. There is currently no date for the new region, the trailer only mentions “Coming Soon”. It is expected that the new content will be added in the fall or winter of 2022.
