Today you can buy the PS5 again – At these retailers

Anyone who still doesn’t have a PlayStation 5 will get another chance to order one this year according to Sony. Because in 2020 there will still be a 4th ordering wave. But for today, December 3rd, some retailers have already confirmed that they will be offering PS5 consoles again. MeinMMO summarizes them for you.

Update December 4, 10:50 AM: Although there are currently no new sellers for the PS5, at least there is good news for pre-order customers at Saturn and MediaMarkt. They are currently shipping consoles from waves 1 and 2 to their buyers.

Update December 3, 4:22 PM: Various users who ordered their consoles at Euronics report that they have not received an order confirmation, although the money has been deducted from their account or PayPal.

Euronics tweeted that you should contact support at [email protected] or possibly call them. The retailer is currently checking the transactions and you will receive your answer regarding the status of your order there:

Update December 3, 1:18 PM: After another phone call with MediMax support, we were informed that the PS5 is now sold out there as well.

Update December 3, 12:45 PM: We just spoke to Medimax again. They told us that PS5s are still available for ordering. However, there may be problems with sales as the site is being bombarded by bots. So don’t be surprised if you see the message “Not available.” According to the Medimax employee, interested parties should try every 5 minutes.

Update December 3, 11:25 AM: The situation around Medimax remains unclear. The site is currently difficult to access, if at all. We from MeinMMO were told today during a phone inquiry that there were still consoles at that time and online sales were ongoing.

However, there are also (unconfirmed) reports that Medimax employees are said to have stated that no consoles are available for sale today. Others report that they were able to successfully order there today. We will continue to keep an eye on this for you.

Update December 3, 08:15 AM: Reports indicate that Mediamarkt.at, like Libro, only ships to Austrian addresses. So these 2 retailers are essentially only relevant for interested parties in Austria (or if you have friends, acquaintances, or relatives in Austria).

Update December 3, 06:30 AM: According to Gameswirtschaft.de, the following retailers are offering the PS5 for order again today, December 3rd (online only):

• Euronics.de
• MediaMarkt.at (Austrian representative)
• Libro.at (Austrian retailer)
• Otto.de

When exactly the orders will start has not yet been announced by the retailers. Only at Euronics they know: it should start in the course of the morning. Based on the experiences from the previous 3 order waves, we recommend checking the shops early (best right now) and frequently. According to Gameswirtschaft, they are once again dealing with a very limited quantity that is expected to be sold out within minutes.

This is the current situation regarding the availability of the PS5: The PlayStation 5 has been available for pre-order in 3 waves now. These were often chaotic and the PS5 sold out quickly there. And that is still the case with Sony’s new console at the moment.

• If you currently don’t have a PS5 but really want one, you will essentially only find outrageous resellers offering the new PlayStation at astronomical prices.
• Regular retailers currently do not have the PlayStation 5 available. In retail, the console has not been and will not be available for the foreseeable future.
• The orders were only possible online and will likely remain so in the near future due to corona.

What about the 4th ordering wave? Even after the 3rd wave, not every buyer had been able to grab a PS5. But Sony promised more supplies, and additional PS5 allocations are supposed to reach retailers by the end of 2020.

When exactly does the 4th wave start? Sony did not reveal when exactly this will happen, but we are already in December, so there isn’t much time left to fulfill this promise in 2020. New orders should therefore become available sometime this month. However, whether they will still be delivered in 2020 is not known. Given previous experiences, it seems rather unlikely.

The following retailers will offer the PS5 again this year: But where will you be able to re-order the PS5? As the website gameswirtschaft.de reports, some German online retailers have already indicated upon inquiry that they will be offering new orders as part of the 4th wave. So far, these include
