In Pokémon GO a new battle day is coming up. We show you what to expect from the event.
When does the battle day take place? The GO battle day with Vulpix takes place on February 12, which is Sunday. It starts at 00:00 and ends at 23:59 local time.
Important: There is a Vulpix bonus on this day, but only from 11:00 to 14:00. During this time, you will receive a Vulpix from every reward encounter in the battle league and also have an increased chance of finding Shiny Vulpix.
Additionally, during this time, all victory rewards in premium battles will be encounters with Vulpix. So, if you mainly want Vulpix for your collection, play between 11:00 and 14:00.
Vulpix in PvP: Vulpix is an interesting Pokémon in terms of battle league, as its evolution Ninetales is a good option in PvP in the Super and Hyper League.
Especially the new Crypto-Ninetales can perform well there. At least you can collect candies on battle day.
What bonuses can you expect on the battle day with Vulpix?
What is the battle day anyway? On battle day, everything revolves around the PvP league in Pokémon GO. On such days, it is particularly worthwhile to participate in the battle league – most recently there was also a battle day in January.
The new battle day with Vulpix gives you the opportunity to complete many battles. Throughout the day, you can complete a total of 20 battle sets instead of the usual five. This means you can complete a total of 100 battles on this day.
The battles will take place this time:
- In the Hyper League with Pokémon that have a maximum of 2,500 CP
- Or in the “Love Cup – Edition: Super League”. There can be a maximum of 1,500 CP, and only red or pink Pokémon can participate.
The battle day is particularly worthwhile if you plan to climb the ranks in the battle league. But there are also some extra bonuses.
These are the bonuses:
- You receive quadruple Stardust for victories in the battle league
- There is a limited research task for which you have to battle. The rewards include:
- Special candies
- XP
- 1 Elite Charged TM
- Encounters with Vulpix
- Additionally, Ninetales learns Ember if you evolve Vulpix during the event.
In addition, there is the above-mentioned Vulpix bonus from 11:00 to 14:00, with Vulpix encounters and increased Shiny chance.
