You have finished with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands? Then the new DLC “Coiled Captors” might be for you – it will be released on April 21, 2022.
This is the first Wonderlands DLC: “Coiled Captors” officially releases on April 21, 2022, and is the first of four additional content pieces that will be released in the coming weeks and months.
Coiled Captors sends you through a “Mirror of Mysteries” from the fortune teller Vesper. There you can face new enemies, gather more loot, and challenge a boss that is supposed to become more and more powerful.
How do you get the DLC? If you
- have purchased the Season Pass for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
- or own an edition of the game that includes the Season Pass
you can simply download the DLC as soon as it becomes available. It is also supposed to be offered as a standalone purchase – but it is currently not available in the respective stores.
Once the DLC is available and the standalone purchase price is known, the article will be updated.
What’s inside the Wonderlands DLC “Coiled Captors”
What you can expect: Once you enter the Mirror of Mysteries, you will encounter the serpent-like “Naga”, who hold an ancient god captive: “Chums”.

Chums, in turn, is the most important part of the new DLC. He awaits you at the end of a dungeon and poses a tough challenge for your Fatebringers.
The catch is that you should challenge Chums repeatedly over the coming weeks – as he will become more powerful each time. The boss will have a total of four forms, each stronger than the previous one.
It’s apparently not just about extra health bars or something: Chums is supposed to bring new attacks and abilities each time.
Especially devious: If you die, you will have to replay the entire dungeon to fight Chums again. This is reminiscent of the tough takedowns from Borderlands 3 and is likely to offer a significant challenge.
The schedule looks like this:
- Form 1 comes directly at the start on April 21
- Form 2 on April 28
- Form 3 on May 5
- the final form on May 12
You can only challenge the new forms after you have defeated the previous ones – even if you start at a later point.
What do you get as a reward? If you defeat Chums, you earn “lost souls”, which you can exchange at the “Wheel of Fate”. This will reward you with new weapons, cosmetics, or other equipment.
Finally, Chums and various content from the DLC will also appear in the Chaos Chambers, which you can challenge over and over again.
