Here you can see the first trailer for Wilderness of Talandre for Throne and Liberty:
Scope, Max Level 55, Dungeons and Raids
What does the new zone bring? Talandre is a new continent that offers six zones, fresh story content, and challenging challenges for all Solisium heroes. With Wilderness of Talandre, the size of the game world is set to double.
The new story chapters will take you through the six zones of Talandre, and it should take about 8 hours to reach the new max level of 55 through this path. Aside from the story, you can expect three new Abyss Dungeons, four field bosses, and two new ore bosses in Talandre.
Similar to the launch of Throne and Liberty, new events, ore bosses, field dungeons, and more will gradually be unlocked after March 6.
What do I need to know about the new solo dungeons? Those who have been frustrated avoiding cooperative dungeons should find a new alternative in the fresh solo instances. There will be five difficulty levels, and you can earn a variety of rewards, such as materials and tier-2 weapons, three times a week.
In the new solo dungeons, you’ll face newly designed bosses, with the first two nasties ready at launch, and in week 2, you can expect two other challenges. Four more bosses are expected to expand the rotation starting in April.
What about the 3-star dungeons? Clearly, the new 3-star dungeons will ramp up the difficulty one more level. You will need to be level 55 and have a combat power of at least 3,500 to participate. The following five dungeons will be available:
- Forest of Fury
- Estate of Tragedy
- Chapel of Madness
- Garden of the Cruel Witch
- Assassin Laboratory
In the first launch week, the first three 3-star dungeons will open. The other two will follow in week 2.
As a reward, you can expect tier-2 equipment sets, training drops, Amitoi, Abyss Contract brand points, and crafting materials. According to Amazon Games, they intend to release the new 3-star dungeons with a slight increase in difficulty compared to the 2-star dungeons.
Tier-2 Gear and Weapon Mastery
What do I need to know about tier-2 gear? The new level 2 weapons and armors will drop from new regional bosses, in abyss dungeons, and in co-op dungeons. However, you can also craft specific gear pieces with tokens that you collect from various content. Tier-2 gear can be upgraded to +12 (instead of +9).
Anyone looking to dive into the new endgame content of Wilderness of Talandre should quickly exchange their hard-earned tier-1 gear for the new tier-2 upgrades. Blue tier-2 items should help facilitate the transition to the new gear level. This rare gear can be obtained while leveling, but also through content in the open world such as abyss dungeons.
In principle, the developers want you to have more flexibility and freedom regarding how you equip your character through the various content. Additionally, the developers are introducing a new sync system that allows you to transfer the level of one gear piece to another item – making it easier to optimally equip for different builds.
What is being revamped with weapon mastery? The developers are introducing a new level of customization. Choose nodes for your weapons, modify or enhance abilities with key nodes, and experiment with different weapons and builds to unlock special skills for your entire arsenal.
The new circular interface for weapon mastery is divided into four quadrants, each with a theme: Attack, Defense, Support, and Tactics. If you primarily want to enhance your offense, you can skill the attack traits – this is possible for all tanks and healers, who should find solo gameplay easier than before. You can see what the new interface looks like in practice here:
Your current weapon mastery level will be converted into experience points in the new system. Additionally, leveling up weapon masteries should become easier in the future since you will no longer need to carry the weapon for which you wish to level mastery. Each weapon will have 200 levels with the expansion, so grinding to max level will still take some time.
The total weapon mastery of a character comes from the sum of all levels of your weapons. Throughout the leveling process, you will unlock passive improvements that count for all weapon types.
By the way, we had the chance to talk with Amazon Games about Throne and Liberty: Wilderness of Talandre. Here is the interview:
Nebla Island and the New Artifact System
What is Nebla Island? This is a new, cross-server activity for players level 55 and above, accessible through the “Outlaw Zone” tab in the secret dungeons. You can spend up to seven hours there each week (with this limit, they want to maintain competitive balance). You have the option to extend the time using Nebla Charging Stones.
The island consists of a central village (Resistance Monitoring Camp) and six unique regions, including a peaceful zone (Fog Forest) and four war zones where PvP is permanently enabled. You can reach the hunting grounds here through portals in the Resistance Monitoring Camp to collect Nebla Stones, which can be exchanged for items.
Hourly events and regular regional boss fights (2 new bosses) should provide some dynamism. Additionally, you can earn the new artifacts on the island as well as in the abyss dungeons of the Talandre region.
What is this new artifact system? The artifact system features a special interface with six slots – four for Talistones, one for a Lunarstone, and one for a Solarstone. Players can receive specific bonuses by selecting their combinations.
The moon and sun stones offer additional depth by granting both a passive ability and an activatable ability with its own key binding. There are a total of 14 different artifact sets in three grades (2 Common, 4 Uncommon, and 8 Rare).
Twitch Drops at Launch and Other New Features
Are there Twitch Drops? Yes, at the launch of Wilderness of Talandre, Amazon Games has provided multiple Twitch Drops. You can find all the details here:
What else is planned? The developers are planning various changes for combat, such as targeting, camera zooming out for better visibility, melee range, or the overall combat tempo. Moreover, the developers are eliminating currencies and token types for greater clarity and convenience. Oh, and RP walking will be added as a feature.
Furthermore, the developers plan to restructure the world bosses and offer them in three variants: Peace, Faction, and Guilds in the future.
- Peace: Your team will engage in an instantiated, pure PvE fight against the respective world boss. The upper limit is 96 players per instance, consolidated across all servers in a region.
- Faction: All participants will be randomly divided into two teams (with groups remaining together) and will partake in a PvPvE battle against the world boss and the other team. The upper limit is 96 players per instance, consolidated across all servers in a region.
- Guilds: Here, matchmaking will pair about two equally strong guilds that can then vie for the world boss. A requirement is 36 to 48 participants per guild.
There will also be instantiated Peace and Faction variants for ore bosses. Additionally, two different ore bosses will appear in parallel.
The lifestyle Fishing will be expanded with new fish, fishing rods, and collectibles. New cooking recipes and elixir types will also come. Additionally, a restructuring of the Weekly Missions is in store. And you can send your Amitoi on the Talandre expeditions.
