Who is Daniel Lafuente? The Globalization Design Manager at Amazon Games is also known as “Tico” and usually ensures that the player experience of Throne and Liberty is tailored to international communities.

What does Daniel Lafuente say? In almost ten minutes, the developer addresses current topics such as the Halloween event, major system changes, player feedback, recognized issues, and planned solutions. Here are the key statements – divided into meaningful topic blocks.
Amazon Games versus Bots
- Amazon Games is fighting against bots on several fronts. Firstly, efforts are ongoing to improve the detection of bots. Scans are currently running daily to remove bots from the game as quickly as possible. There have already been initial ban waves.
- Secondly, they want to make it as difficult as possible for bots to conduct their business, without affecting the experience of normal players. Some of these measures revolve around the use of the auction house.
- Thirdly, Amazon Games is taking active action against players who engage in real money trading. There have been initial penalties just days ago. The measures range from auction house bans and Luzent deductions to permanent bans.
A hot topic in the community: World Bosses
- Many players have complained about the low drop rates of world bosses. Even with regular participation, many have not been able to take home an epic item so far. For the next maintenance, the developers are planning to implement two solutions.
- The first measure from Amazon Games: There will be more portals for peaceful world bosses in the future to split players across more versions of the fight and thus distribute more loot among the players.
- The second measure: In the reward chest for participating in a world boss, there may in the future be an additional loot chest, from which you can choose one of the epic drops from the respective world boss.
- Amazon Games aims to prevent players from being forced into PvP through the Transcendent Force “Darkness” in the future. They want to achieve this by allowing you to reach peaceful world bosses from Abyss dungeons directly through a portal that appears outside the dungeon (release is planned for mid-November).
- A new article is expected to be detailed soon, explaining how loot distribution works for world bosses and other contents.
Better experience in the cooperative dungeons
- Recently, several adjustments have been made to improve the player experience around cooperative dungeons – for example, for matchmaking and loot for random groups.
- Further measures will follow if community feedback makes them necessary.
Plans for upcoming content
- The systems for Substance Transformation and Runes, which have been in the Korean version of the MMORPG for a while, will not come to the West in the form they are currently used in Korea.
- The rune system has a random component that can be frustrating and promotes pay-to-win. This random factor is planned to be removed with an upcoming update, ensuring that you get the rune slot type you want in every case.
- For runes, there will be a separate area in the inventory to avoid burdening the normal inventory space.
- Regarding Substance Transformation, tradable items from the system will be removed from the auction house. It will no longer be possible to endlessly put money into the auction house to efficiently get the maximum rewards from the system.
- A third system, Trait Resonance, will not be released for the Western version for quite some time. Various changes are also planned for this.
- Many players have expressed a desire for a smaller, regulated way for PvP. Corresponding content is planned for mid-November, catering to different team sizes and featuring public and private matches.

How does the community react to the statements? Many players are excited or at least positively surprised by Tico’s statements. Below the video on YouTube, one of the largest and most well-known YouTubers for MMORPG themes, TheLazyPeon, also expresses his views:
“I hope you continue to make such communication videos. It is always nice to hear what is being worked on, which issues you are aware of, and how you are opening the dialogue with the community. I appreciate that.”
Here are a few more statements from the community:
- Braveliltoasterx writes on Reddit: “I won’t lie that this kind of attention for the player base is quite refreshing. Keep it up and TL will be a powerhouse of an MMO.”
- xomox2012 is thrilled (via Reddit): “The developers have responded pretty well to the feedback. It’s only been a month on the market, and they are addressing most of the major issues publicly and fixing many of the smaller issues without saying a word.”
- getyergun is also excited about Reddit: “I’m so glad to see this. It shows that they are listening and committed to improving the game. I’m still 100 percent a F2P player, but now I’m considering supporting the developers.”
- IllBehaveFromNowOn can hardly believe it (via Reddit): “Wow, it seems like they really want this game to succeed because those are some great changes.”
