Just before the launch of Throne and Liberty, the team at Amazon Games revealed the schedule for various events and endgame content in the MMORPG, as well as the expected update rhythm for players.
What does the first roadmap for Throne and Liberty reveal? After the daily and weekly schedules for events and activities were outsourced, the freshly released roadmap from Amazon Games focuses on
- Update rhythm
- Plans for level 2 equipment and associated progression systems
- Unlocking of content in October and November
- a first look at December

Content Updates – What is Planned?
What will the update rhythm look like?
- Every month, an update is expected to bring several innovations and adjustments to the servers. This also includes seasonal/holiday-related content.
- About every three to four months, a major update is anticipated that will shift the meta or introduce new core systems.
- The first major update is planned for December.
In South Korea, essential innovations such as level 2 equipment, the rune system, and trait resonance (along with substance transformation) were introduced months after the launch. The plan for the western version is:
- Level 2 equipment will not be introduced with the release of 2-star dungeons as was the case in Korea. The Tier-2 dungeons go live on November 21, 2024.
- There will be a separate area in the inventory for runes to avoid taking up normal inventory space.
- Regarding substance transformation, tradable items from the system will be removed from the auction house. It will no longer be possible to endlessly pump money into the auction house to efficiently squeeze the maximum rewards out of the system.
- A third system, trait resonance, will not be released for the western version for a considerable time. Various changes are also planned for this.
In an interview, Globalization Design Manager Daniel Lafuente also hinted that they are considering adjustments to the rune system and trait resonance.
What’s Coming in November 2024
When does the first castle siege start? In mid-November, the first battle for Castle Rockwatch began. The official announcement states (via playthroneandliberty.com):
The currently reigning guild will close the gates, strengthen the defenses, and fight relentlessly to stop anyone who is brave or foolish enough to seize power. You will also have to compete with several other guilds fighting for the throne.
Dodge the hail of arrows, spells, and much more as you besiege the castle in various ways, depending on your play style. No matter which strategy you choose, all tactics lead to the throne. At the end of the 45-minute match, there can only be one champion of Castle Rockwatch.
Additionally, November marked the first tax transport event, linked to the castle:
“Deliver the collected taxes from the estate to the castle and survive enemy guilds trying to steal your wealth. The guild that owns the castle will choose a player to transform into a tax transport golem, traveling from Vienta to Castle Rockwatch. The castle alliance must defend the golem against the rest of the server.”

On November 21, 2024, the latest content patch with Patch 1.8 will be released, which, in addition to the already mentioned Tier-2 dungeons, also includes a buddy system and numerous class adjustments.
What else do I need to know about Throne and Liberty? Throne and Liberty was released on October 1, 2024, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. There is crossplay between platforms.
