When was the release originally planned? Originally, Throne and Liberty was supposed to be released in the first half of 2023, with May being the planned date.

The information about the postponement comes from the Korean website mtn.co.kr. On April 20, 2023, there was an exclusive report stating that the release of the MMORPG was being postponed.
When is the new release date? For October 2023, the new date for the MMORPG is planned. However, this month is also not certain and may change again. In May 2023, instead of the release, closed beta tests will take place in Korea and North America.
MMORPG avoids the release of Diablo 4
What is the reason for the postponement? According to the Korean site m-ddaily-co-kr, there have already been considerations to postpone the release date of Throne and Liberty. The reason is:
Diablo 4 is scheduled to be released on June 6. There were concerns about competition between the two release dates. Additionally, Final Fantasy 16 is also set to be released exclusively for Playstation 5 on June 22. Therefore, they considered a postponement.
Game was already close to release in 2017
This is noteworthy: Several years ago, “Throne and Liberty”, then still known as “Lineage Eternal”, was close to a release, but was then retracted and extensively revised: Development was shifted to Unreal Engine 4.
Back then, the game was obviously postponed due to another game: The mobile game LineageM earned NCSoft so much money that they were in no rush to release Lineage Eternal.
