In Throne and Liberty, not only are guilds very powerful, but also the leaders of the communities. After various horror stories, a guild leader now shows how easy it can be to sweeten the day for his members.
What did the guild leader do? Decafstab writes in his post on Reddit that he received a valuable raid drop during a guild event. Instead of pocketing it for himself, every participating member of his guild received a share of the earnings: 4,030 Lucent per person (which is a bit more than 70 euros).
The player comments on the attached screenshot with the following words: “I can’t tell you how many horror stories I’ve heard about guild leaders who ran away with expensive items. I play MMOs because I want to have fun and build relationships with other players. Not to screw them over and drive away anyone who stands in my way for personal gain.”
This video summarizes how important guilds are in Throne and Liberty:
“Can I join your guild?”
Why is this special? Since the launch of Throne and Liberty, players have been sharing their negative experiences with their own or other guilds daily.
- Due to size limitations, you can get quickly kicked from ambitious guilds if you do not meet their often very high expectations.
- Sometimes guild leaders exploit the settings for loot distribution to enrich themselves or favored players.
- Individual guilds or alliances deliberately use the possibilities of Throne and Liberty to ruin the gaming experience of others.
Positive exceptions like this Japanese guild are all too rare. Accordingly, the post from Decafstab is well received in the community, with more than 940 upvotes and nearly 200 comments.
What does the community say?
- jeaxz74 wants to know on Reddit: “Which server are you playing on? Can I join your guild? lol”
- Dardanelles17 has an immediate negative example on Reddit: “The leader of my former guild kicked everyone to get an Arcboss drop worth 150,000 Lucent. Someone else had looted it.”
- kukiqk replies to Dardanelles17 (via Reddit): “I’m afraid that your case unfortunately happens more often.”
- Minions89 explains on Reddit: “That’s fantastic. There would have been a civil war in my guild.”
- Uss22 is also in a good guild (via Reddit): “One of my guildmates had looted the blades, and everyone congratulated like crazy. I was worried because I thought our guild leader might steal it – after all the horror stories I’ve seen on this sub – but he just said – congrats dude! – and transferred it to him.”
