Publisher Amazon Games has introduced the three early access packages for Throne and Liberty. MeinMMO reveals how much the early access packs cost and what benefits they offer.
What early access packages are available for Throne and Liberty? The MMORPG actually launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on October 1, 2024. For those who don’t have time for the beta of Throne and Liberty, here are some impressions from the MMORPG:
Is it worth purchasing the packages?
In the open beta, the first version of the monthly battle pass cost 500 Luzent and the one-time purchase growth pass (which should make the leveling phase easier) cost 750 Luzent. Aside from the Luzent, all other content of the early access packs is cosmetic in nature – especially regarding the skins for the animal forms and the companion, there are also some free alternatives.
Unfortunately, there was no overview of the prices of the Luzent packages in the beta, so it is unclear how much money the 500 or 1,000 Luzent from the two more expensive packages are worth. However, as Luzent can also be earned in the game, no one should feel compelled to purchase the packages just for a few Luzent.
Regarding early access, it’s always great to rush onto the servers with the first wave of players. On the other hand, Amazon Games plans to open extra realms for the official release on October 1, 2024, where early access players will not be present. The auction houses of the early access and launch servers are also expected to be separate.
Overall, the early access packages do not offer such comprehensive advantages that one must necessarily buy them. This is also evident in the new video by Kanon on YouTube, in which he primarily presents the cosmetic goodies of the packages in detail.
How fair is the payment model of Throne and Liberty? For the western version, publisher Amazon Games and developer NCSoft have made some adjustments compared to the Korean version. All details about the battle pass, growth pass, in-game shop, and the character power that can be purchased in the auction house can be found here: Is Throne and Liberty Pay2Win? This is what Amazon’s new MMORPG looks like when you don’t want to spend money.
