In a few days, the new Ghost Recon game will be unveiled. Will it be Wildlands 2? Fans have clear ideas about how it should be so that it turns out well. We will show you the wishes here.
What’s new? On Monday, May 6th, the Twitter account of Ghost Recon published the announcement of a game reveal. It is scheduled to take place on May 9th.
This announcement came after players had already found clues for this date in Ghost Recon Wildlands.
This is how fans are reacting: The news about the announcement on May 9th spread quickly on social media. Many users are showing great interest in a new title in the Ghost Recon series. Some are calling for a second part of Wildlands.
The Ghost Recon series also includes titles like Advanced Warfighter, Predator, Shadow Wars, or Future Soldier. What will be presented on May 9th is still unclear.

What “The new Ghost Recon” must be able to do
In addition to the excitement about the new title, fans also express clear wishes about what the new game must do. Many of these wishes manifest as improvements over Ghost Recon Wildlands that can also be applied to other titles.
Wildlands is the most recent entry in the Ghost Recon series, released in March 2017. There, players could play missions on the world map with groups of up to 4 fighters in co-op and advance in the story together.
Later, additional multiplayer game modes were added in Wildlands. There, players competed against other players and not just against NPCs.
Better vehicle control
Regardless of whether the new game will be Wildlands 2, players wish for better vehicle control.
At the launch of Wildlands, this was one of the biggest criticisms. Helicopters were almost impossible to fly with the keyboard, cars lacked character and felt unfinished.
On Reddit user moob9 supports the view that Ubisoft will probably announce a “Wildlands 2”. However, he wishes for improved vehicle control. Player xChris777 states that while vehicles can now be maneuvered much better in Wildlands than at launch, they are still far from being “good”.

Since players often travel from A to B on the large map with vehicles, an improvement in this area is essential.
Smarter AI than in Wildlands
In the criticism of Wildlands, the AI-controlled teammates often seemed “dumb”. The allied NPCs were automatically added when playing without friends. However, they performed so poorly in missions that players preferred to play completely without AI friends rather than let them “help”.
For the new installment, players therefore desire improved AI.

Player Outbound_flight (on Reddit) would like improvements in AI and stealth. He writes, “it was not fun when playing stealth missions, only to see the trigger-happy [allied] rebels charging in as if they were doing us a favor.”
Good weapons and weapon sounds – Like in The Division 2
In a shooter that places so much value on weapons, a refined acoustics is particularly important. Some were already satisfied with the sound of the firearms in Wildlands. Others say, however, that they hope for an upgrade in the new part of Ghost Recon.

User Rogork writes about this on Reddit that he wishes for a Wildlands 2 with the gun-porn from The Division 2. He states that while the weapon selection in Ghost Recon Wildlands was good, he was not satisfied with the sounds and animations. In terms of accuracy and feeling, The Division 2 has set new standards for him.
Additional wishes for the new title
The following wishes for the new Ghost Recon title are often mentioned:
- More love for pistols (selection, usage options)
- No universal ammo, but weapon-specific
- The environment should react more to how one behaves
- More variety in enemy types
- Improved solo play
- Improved stealth options
- A less cheesy story
