The NoPixels-3.0 server is considered one of the largest roleplay servers in GTA Online. Big streamers like xQc are active there. He was recently robbed live by other roleplayers, which is making his fans quite angry. But what is the problem?
Who is it about? xQc is a well-known roleplayer and streamer on the private NoPixel-3.0 server of GTA Online. He is regularly active there. With the exception of a temporary ban for cheating, xQc is often streaming while he roleplays in Los Santos.
This just happened: Recently, xQc was in the process of delivering 6 stolen phones. He noticed that a white Mustang was following him. Eventually, the driver started ramming him at full speed and opened fire.
A wild chase ensued, during which xQc’s van eventually stopped, and the attacker managed to shoot and rob him.
While the streamer remained calm, his viewers found it quite hilarious. A discussion about the attacker erupted on reddit. You can watch it here in the video:
Bad or good roleplay?
Here’s how the viewers react: On reddit, the reactions to the thief are not very friendly. The comment with the most upvotes has over 400 likes and comes from user azureMR: “At this point, I’m convinced they did it just for attention […]”
Many are wondering how coordinated the attack was. The attacker appeared out of nowhere and seemed to know exactly where his victim was driving. This leads some to suspect that the attacker was “stream sniping,” meaning xQc was watched over his own stream, allowing them to see everything.
User NickPDF writes: I just watched the attacker’s video and the thing is: They might have had someone watching X [xQc] and relaying the information to them over the phone […], then they rammed him without roleplay at 144 km/h and immediately knew that his goods were hidden in the glove compartment.”
There is also a lot of dissent. On one hand, it cannot be proven that the attackers spied on xQc through his stream. Many also view the accusation of bad roleplay as unjustified. For example, misterysp writes: “It is a legitimate tactic used by robbers.” Many have also argued against the accusation of bad roleplay.
This might be the real reason: Other players see the reason for the attack as xQc having ventured into the wrong territory. Apparently, the theft of the phones took place in a gang’s territory.
They might have caught wind of it, as Rafi2596 writes: “They didn’t do stream sniping, X robbed a house in their territory and got shot for it.” Therefore, many players view it as good RP.
