Places 10 to 6

- Place 10: Doom Eternal (1.38 %)
- Release: March 20, 2020
- Genre: First-Person Shooter
- Developer: id Software
In March 2020, Doom Eternal hit the scene and captured the hearts of many fans of classic arcade shooters. You once again take on the role of the legendary Doom Slayer, to save Earth from the horde of demons that have broken out of Hell and launched an invasion.
Humanity stands on the brink, and the Doom Slayer is the only one who can save us. With fast-paced action, hordes of enemies, and plenty of blood and body parts, Doom Eternal slaughtered its way to place 10 in our survey.

- Place 9: Fall Guys (1.62 %)
- Release: August 4, 2020
- Genre: Battle Royale
- Developer: Mediatonic
The colorful Steam game was basically the gaming summer hit of 2020. In this somewhat different battle royale game, players must compete against each other for the crown. Just that they don’t do it with firearms or magic as usual, but in a “Takeshi’s Castle”-like race. And your character is bean-shaped.
Upon release, Fall Guys was a viral hit on Twitch and ranked among the 12 most successful games on Steam in 2020. Even though the hype for the game significantly waned by the end of the year, the colorful beans also became popular among MeinMMO users, bumping their way to place 9 in our survey.

- Place 8: Valorant (1.95 %)
- Release: June 2, 2020
- Genre: First-Person Shooter
- Developer: Riot Games
Valorant is one of the less expected releases of 2020, with a beta in April and a release shortly thereafter in early June. The tactical team-based shooter gives you a selection of different agents with their own abilities, roles in combat, pros, and cons.
Valorant differs from many other shooters with its slower tactical gameplay, where players must coordinate well in a team to ultimately succeed. Valorant managed to shoot its way to place 8 in our survey.

- Place 7: CoD: Black Ops Cold War (2.76 %)
- Release: November 13, 2020
- Genre: First-Person Shooter
- Developer: Treyarch
The latest installment in the “Call of Duty” franchise places its players in the charged times of the Cold War. Intrigue, extremists, and espionage are on the agenda. Your task is to find and eliminate the dangerous Russian agent Perseus. However, in the tangled story, nothing is as it seems, and everyone could be an enemy.
In multiplayer, Cold War has merged with the popular battle royale mode Warzone, received a new map, and is currently in its first season. This shot the game into 7th place in our survey.

- Place 6: Fallout 76 Wastelanders (3.25 %)
- Release: April 14
- Genre: Action RPG / Survival
- Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Although Fallout 76 has been on the market for 2 years now, the Wastelanders addon was a significant event for players. It brought features into the game that many had wished for from the start: more story, more quests and finally real NPCs. This made the game much more like the popular Fallout 4 and also added new RPG elements.
The major overhaul of Fallout 76 breathed new life into Appalachia and seems to have been well received by MeinMMO users. After all, the survival game rose to 6th place in our survey.
