The GSA League, the major e-sports event of Rainbow Six: Siege, has finally gathered its eight teams for the league games. MeinMMO presents the teams and tells you how to watch.
Where do the teams play? The GSA League is the replacement for the GSA Nationals in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and one of the largest tournaments in Rainbow Six: Siege in this area.
What is the GSA League? Since April 25, 2020, various teams have been playing in qualifier matches for a top placement. Only the two best teams were able to advance to the actual GSA League games.
On May 3, this decision was made for the teams TRSH and DIVIZON. The remaining teams received invitations directly from Ubisoft.
In the GSA League, the professionals play for a prize pool of a total of €40,000, even more than the originally announced €30,000 from the beginning. The first round begins on May 14.
In our collection article, you will find all further information about the GSA League, the teams, times, and prize money.
Update from May 14: The e-sports organization Team Secret has signed OrgLess. The squad has not changed – only the name (via hotspawn). TRSH has also been renamed to Fact Gaming.
The teams of the GSA League
A total of eight teams are participating in the GSA League. Among them are well-known names and teams, as well as some newcomers looking to prove themselves.
G2 Esports
G2 Esports is one of the most well-known teams in e-sports of Rainbow Six: Siege. The team based in Berlin has already secured first place at DreamHack in winter 2018 and also at the Six Invitational 2019. In the 2020 Invitational, they lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas for a 7th/8th place.
Rogue
The European branch of the American e-sports organization Rogue has three of the best German players under contract: korey, ripz, and AceeZ. In the past two years, they have achieved good success. Under the leadership of the French player Hicks, the team recently achieved first place in the Pro League Season 11 in Europe in April 2020.
Team Secret (formerly OrgLess)
The pro team Orgless consists only of German players, ranks among the best German teams, and is now under contract with Team Secret. In the GSA Clash of Nations in January 2019 and 2020, they were able to take first place, and in the Challenger League Season 11 in Europe, they reached 2nd place.
DIVIZON
DIVIZON earned first place in the GSA Qualifier and thereby qualified for the GSA League games. The team is considered an underdog in the league. So far, they have been able to impress in some qualifier matches, but they are just starting to fully enter e-sports.
Fact Gaming (formerly TRSH)
The second team to qualify for the GSA League through the qualifiers is TRSH. The team has already attracted attention in the Opportunity League (OPL) and won the Beta Cup there.
mYinsanity
The Swiss e-sports organization mYinsanity has already made a name for itself in several disciplines, including Overwatch, League of Legends, and now in Rainbow Six: Siege. The team has already secured first place in the Swiss Nationals 2020 as well as third place in the Clash of Nations 2020 and is now fighting for victory in the GSA League.
WarKidz
The Austrian WarKidz also cover a large portfolio of e-sport games and shared third place in the Clash of Nations with mYinsanity in 2020.
