There are new raid bosses in Pokémon GO! The Eevee evolutions and Raichu are available as 3-star raids. Additionally, there is a new shiny.
The raid bosses in Pokémon GO have changed. The previous raid bosses remain, only the level 3 raids have changed. Niantic announced a few days ago that the Eevee evolutions are now available as raid bosses.
How long do the raids last? Players now have time until November 26 to challenge the new raid bosses.
Espeon, Umbreon and other Eevee evolutions in raids
Which Pokémon are available as raids? The level 3 raids are completely new and the following Pokémon can now be challenged:
- Vaporeon
- Flareon
- Jolteon
- Espeon
- Umbreon
- Raichu
- Alolan Raichu
New shiny: With Alolan Raichu, another shiny comes into play. While only the normal Raichu could previously be obtained as shiny, now the Alolan form is also available as a shiny Pokémon. The Eevee evolutions can be obtained as shiny since the Eevee Community Day.
Other raid bosses remain the same: The other raids remain. Only the 3-star raids have been swapped. Players can still challenge Cresselia and the other raid bosses.
For the first time, Espeon and Umbreon are catchable: This is the first opportunity to catch Espeon and Umbreon. Until now, the two Eevee evolutions could only be obtained through tricks during evolution. Now, after successfully completing a raid, players can also catch both Pokémon with balls.
Can you beat the raids alone? All current 3-star raids can be defeated alone. Depending on the Pokémon, strong counters may be needed. Umbreon has a high defense value and is therefore difficult to defeat. Choose good counters if you want to challenge the new raid bosses.
