The Rocket Takeover is now happening in Pokémon GO – Here’s what to expect at the event

The Rocket Event in Pokémon GO starts at midnight. We will show you all the bonuses and content that await you during the Rocket takeover.

What kind of event is this? Niantic regularly holds events where the villains of Team GO Rocket come into focus. You will encounter them more frequently, the rewards may change, and new Shadow Pokémon will be activated.

The next Rocket Event starts on Monday, November 14th. In this overview, we will show you the most important details you need to know for the event.

Rocket takeover from November 14th – Content

When is the start and end? The event begins on November 14th at midnight. So, in the night from Sunday to Monday. It will be active until Thursday, November 17th at 8:00 PM local time.

What bonuses are there?

• Balloons with Team GO Rocket members appear more frequently
• You can use Charge TMs on Shadow Pokémon to make them forget “Frustration”
  • 15 Pokémon that are worth making forget Frustration

Field Research: In a specific field research task, you will be rewarded with a Mystical Component. You need these components to craft Rocket Radars. You can also obtain them from battles against Grunts.

Is Crypto-Mewtwo available? Yes, the powerful Shadow Pokémon Mewtwo returns with the event. At the start of the event, a special research will be unlocked where you will receive a Super Rocket Radar. With this, you can track down Giovanni, the leader of Team GO Rocket. If you win the encounter, you can catch Shadow Mewtwo.

You must claim the special research by December 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM.

Shadow Pokémon and Event Eggs: Starting at the beginning of the event, Rocket Grunts and leaders Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra will battle with other Shadow Pokémon. We will quickly find out which ones they are on Monday and explain them here on MeinMMO with counter guides.

Contents of the 12-km Eggs: In the 12-km eggs that you receive during the event, the following Pokémon may be inside:

At the same time, Pokémon GO is running the event “Greedy Associates” with a special time-limited research, modified eggs, raids, spawns, and a special hatching bonus. You can still take advantage of the content until Thursday evening.
