The monster for the upcoming Community Day Classic in Pokémon GO has been officially teased. And it looks impressive.
In Pokémon GO, a Community Day takes place every month. There is a monster that is in the spotlight and can be caught in very high numbers by you. Additionally, there is the Community Day Classic, which brings back a monster that has already had a regular Community Day.
The monster for the C-Day Classic in May has now been officially teased. And it fits perfectly with another event taking place in May.
A familiar face with strong punches
Which Pokémon is it? The monster that was teased in a video on X is Machollo. It will be the focus of the next Community Day Classic, which takes place on May 24, 2025.
Machollo is from the 1st generation and is a Fighting type. It can evolve into Maschock and subsequently into Machomei.
Although it has been around from the very beginning and many Fighting-type Pokémon have made their way into the game over time, it is still found today in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO. Its Crypto variant should not be underestimated, as it deals an additional 20% more damage.
Which event in May fits with the C-Day Classic? Also in May, specifically on May 25, 2025, the next Dyna Battle Day will take place in Pokémon GO. And here, Machomei will make its debut in its Gigantamax form in the game.
A Machollo that you catch at the Community Day Classic cannot be used as a Gigantamax monster or evolve into this form. However, you have the opportunity to farm as many candies and XL candies for Machollo as possible.
You can then use these to power up a Gigantamax Machomei and equip it with better Dyna attacks.
If you’re not interested in Dynamax and Gigantamax battles, you can still use the Community Day Classic to strengthen your Machomei in both regular and Crypto variants or to hunt for Hundo Machollo.
