The studio behind Warframe has released a fresh trailer for its new fantasy MMO Soulframe. This shows an important aspect of the game – namely, how skillfully you can take down your opponents.
Soulframe is the new game from developer Digital Extremes: The studio celebrated its greatest success so far with Warframe – a free MMO shooter set in a sci-fi world. At first glance, Soulframe also seems like a spiritual sequel:
- Soulframe once again relies on a slightly crazy and – in the best sense of the word – quirky setting. This time, however, instead of sci-fi, there’s fantasy with swords and magic.
- The game is playable in co-op again, but should also be interesting for solo players.
- Both games focus on smooth and action-packed combat.
The developers show how the battles in Soulframe might look in a new gameplay trailer. Although it is quite short at just under 2.5 minutes, it still gives fans plenty of reasons to be excited.

Fights look significantly better now
What are fans excited about? The greatest appreciation is for the shown battles. Many fans believe they look significantly better than in previous trailers.
- For example, RandomGuy-bl9qi writes about the trailer: “Oh wow, the fights have definitely improved a lot!” (via YouTube).
- MildewtheStoryteller agrees and provides first-hand experience: “I’ve been playing Preludes 9 for about two weeks. I had never played before and couldn’t see how bad the combat was before, but I can say: Now it feels great!”
- vincentjacemoser is especially excited about the new staff for his mage build, new enemies, and even more lore.
Compared to Warframe, the new game takes quite a bit of pace out of the fights. Soulframe feels significantly slower and more grounded: You’re not constantly leaping through the air at a speed that could make you dizzy.
Soulframe will also be present at TennoCon 2025. So on July 19, you can expect news about the game. How you can already play it now, you can read in this article on MeinMMO: Fantasy MMORPG hope Soulframe is starting slowly – All information on how you can be involved
