What problems were there with the portals? For a certain time, new portals in Stormwind appeared almost nonstop. Once that was fixed, some players criticized that the portals only appeared in one of the three cities. The developers also adjusted this with a hotfix (via official WoW forum). Now you can battle the waves at any hour in all three cities.
The current Hearthstone event sweetens the wait for The War Within:
Despite the adjustments, the portals apparently continue to exhibit unpredictable behavior. Hardheaded_Hunter reports on Reddit that his group encountered a particularly curious spawn bug.
From one portal, twelve versions of Dr. Boom suddenly poured out. Of course, the surprised players were initially overwhelmed. When they finally managed to defeat the wave of bosses after many respawns, the next surprise awaited the victorious team: Every Dr. Boom had loot for the players.
How does the event usually proceed? Normally, players only encounter one Dr. Boom, who also only has loot for the fighters with some luck.
Accordingly, some comments under the post are quite frustrated.
