At gamescom 2022, we meet the developers of the new anime MMORPG Tower of Fantasy and learn some exclusive news. They reveal details about the contents of the upcoming update, including the gloomy lore about the new city.
The update “Vera” is set to be the first expansion of Tower of Fantasy. You will enter a desert landscape where you can discover new content. There will also be a new city where you continue the main story.
New information about Mirroria City
We also learn the background of the new city, Mirroria City. Since the desert is uninhabitable, almost all residents of the new zone live in the cyberpunk metropolis.
The city floats in the air and has the shape of a pyramid. From the outside, Mirroria City is completely enveloped in solar panels that generate electricity inside. As a result, it is permanently dark inside. Only the numerous neon signs and lanterns illuminate the eternal night.
In Mirroria City, society is divided into three classes: Uptown, Middle, and Downtown. Uptown is where the wealthy live, while Downtown is where the poor reside. The appearance of the city is also adapted to the means of the residents of each district. This means: Uptown is impressive, modern, and beautiful, while Downtown looks rather dilapidated.

What else is new? Additionally, the developers reveal previously unknown details about the update:
- A new world boss is a metallic reindeer named Rudolph. He attacks with volt and fire attacks.
- With the expansion, there will be a new character that you can draw. This gives you an advantage in the gacha system.
When is the release? “Vera” will be released later this year. The exact date, however, is not disclosed by the developers.
