In a survey, we wanted to know from you which class you like best in Last Epoch. Here we present you a ranking of the most popular classes, based on your responses.
The action RPG offers players five classes, for which you can choose subclasses over time. Each of the five base classes has three possible mastery classes that determine your play style and work with various builds. The difference between the masteries within a class can be enormous.
And since it currently takes forever to level up a new character in Last Epoch, we wanted to know from you in a survey which class you simply find the best in all categories: gameplay, aesthetics, class fantasy, or whatever comes to mind.
This is how you voted: A total of 1,423 people participated in the survey. Everyone could cast only one vote. Here are places 15 to 6:
- Place 15: Forge Guard (2%, 24 votes)
- Place 14: Shaman (3%, 36 votes)
- Place 13: Spellblade (3%, 40 votes)
- Place 12: Lich (3%, 42 votes)
- Place 11: Sorcerer (3%, 48 votes)
- Place 10: Druid (4%, 52 votes)
- Place 9: Beastmaster (4%, 61 votes)
- Place 8: Marksman (4%, 63 votes)
- Place 7: Bladedancer (5%, 65 votes)
- Place 6: Void Knight (7%, 96 votes)
Below we present you your top 5 best classes in Last Epoch:
Place 5: Runemaster
With 133 votes, 9% of you chose the Runemaster as the best class in Last Epoch. The Runemaster is a scholar who masters the power of the arcane and combines it with the art of runes.
He uses this power to create powerful offensive and defensive barriers that annihilate anyone who breaks through them. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus tried the Runemaster, but it gave him a hard time.
Place 4: Paladin
For 157 of you, or 11%, the Paladin is the best class in Last Epoch. The Paladin is a mastery class of the Sentinels and is a holy, righteous warrior.
Paladins face their enemies, crushing them and establishing order. Paladins can annihilate whole swarms of enemies with their holy fire. They are also capable of healing allies.
Place 3: Necromancer
With 185 votes and 13%, the Necromancer is in third place in the voting for the best classes in Last Epoch. Similar to the Sorcerer, the Acolyte also uses magic – but a forbidden type of it.
The Necromancer, a mastery class of the Acolyte, wields flesh, bones, blood, and the remaining essence of life as her weapons. She commands a dark army of undead that overwhelms her enemies while casting devastating curses. With a strong necro build you can summon a huge specter that tears apart all opponents for you.
Place 2: Falconer
With 188 votes (13%), the Falconer lands in second place in the voting. Alongside the Warlock, she is one of the two new mastery classes that were introduced with the 1.0 update in Last Epoch. The base class of the Falconer is the Rogue, who steps out of the shadows with bows and blades to surprise her enemies.
The Falconer is a master tactician who uses deceptive traps and the help of a raptor to survive. Her mind, ingenuity, and most importantly, the loyalty of her falcon are her greatest strengths. However, she can also fight without weapons and deal up to 300,000 damage when everything goes right.
Place 1: Warlock
In first place among the best classes in Last Epoch is the Warlock, chosen by 233 of you (16%), who was introduced as a mastery class of the Acolyte at the full release. And with her, no soul goes unscathed.
The Warlock penetrates deep into the essence of her enemies, corrupting their spirits with relentless curses, necrotic magic, and blazing flames that sear their flesh. The faintest word from the dark master can contain such abominable magic that it completely extinguishes the light.
In Last Epoch, mages, especially Runemasters, currently hold the edge when it comes to the strongest classes. But Acolytes are also well represented in many lists, in the form of Warlocks and Necromancers.
The Warlock, with her torment build, is one of the strongest classes in the endgame. Which classes and builds are the best, and how the individual builds work, you can find in our overview: Last Epoch Tier List: Best Builds & Classes in Endgame
