In an interview with the Twitch channel Crown, the head of Lost Ark was asked what the content plans for the European version of the MMORPG look like. And you should be excited.
What does he say about new content? A major aspect of the developers seems to be that they do not want to accidentally release new content too quickly. This is particularly exciting because fans had long suspected that we would have to wait what feels like an eternity for new classes.
According to that, there should be new content and new classes every 2 to 3 months. The focus will be on getting new Legion Raids into the Western version of the MMORPG as quickly as possible.
We should receive the Argos Raid in just a month, and only a month after Argos, the next Legion Raid, Valtan, should come. They want to keep an eye on how quickly fans progress through the new content. In any case, the endgame of our version will be fed quickly.
When will new classes be available? The German version of Lost Ark will launch on February 8 for pre-orderers and on February 11 as a free-to-play title. Initially, we will have 15 different classes to choose from, while there are already 22 classes in Korea with 2 more on the horizon.
However, while Korea receives new classes approximately every 5–6 months, our Western version should be much faster to keep up with the original version.
You should not have to wait longer than 3 months for new classes, as the Western version of Lost Ark will receive a new class every 2 to 3 months.
What classes are coming next? First, we can expect the Summoner. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, it seems the most likely. After all, the Summoner was still in the game during the beta and was later removed for the launch.
What happens next is pure speculation. Overall, our version is still missing the classes

Announced for the Korean version is a kind of weather mage as well as a female version of the Berserker. The greatsword-wielding lady is expected to enter Arkesia by the end of 2022 or early 2023 and be available to all.

What else does he say? His dream would be to have a global version of Lost Ark that receives all updates simultaneously. So it can be seen as an overarching plan to catch up with the Korean version of Lost Ark.
When that will happen or is planned, he did not reveal. However, the big Lost Ark event LOA ON is also supposed to be held internationally and not just in Korean.
He also responds to the question of how important feedback from Western players is by expressing that he appreciates the fanbase and regularly follows Reddit and YouTube. However, he does not let out how much this feedback influences the development of the MMORPG.
What’s also exciting? For new players, he advises playing the game at their own pace to get the best possible experience for themselves. Furthermore, no one should feel pressured to purchase anything. Lost Ark is also meant to be completely open to free-to-play players.
When asked whether it will eventually be possible to play ranked PvP with friends and not just alone, he gives no clear answer. They would monitor the PvP and are working on improving it. So it remains exciting.
