The German Twitch streamer metashi12 has received a significant boost this year, especially due to Sauercrowd. On TikTok, he explains why he is not yet a millionaire swimming in money.
Why isn’t the streamer a millionaire yet? Metashi is one of the most successful German gaming streamers on Twitch and has gained a significant increase in followers this year, from 401,174 in December 2025 to currently 515,673. According to twitchtracker.com, he currently has over 12,700 active subscribers.
His earnings during the streams are therefore regularly a topic. In response to the claim that he is already a millionaire, Metashi explained recently (via tiktok.com):
I am not. Not even close. I am an idiot. Do you know how many sub gifts I have on my channel? […] A whopping 28,697 sub gifts […]. And should I tell you what the worst part about it is? Until two years ago, I accumulated all that money.
And do you know where I left it? On PayPal. For 5 years. I had no investment, not a cent, no checking account. Nothing. I had all my money like under the pillow sitting on PayPal. And my tax advisor asked me, and I quote: “Giacomo, are you beh…?” And I could only answer yes.
At least from this statement, it can be concluded that Metashi has been handling his income differently for the past two years.

What do I need to know about Metashi? Metashi’s real name is Giacomo Emilio Escobar Gaviria and he is known for his direct, sometimes rude manner. His main topic on the channel has always been World of Warcraft. Therefore, it was something very special for the streamer this year to be one of the organizers, drivers, and guild leaders of Sauercrowd.
The streamer event in WoW Classic Hardcore created enormous attention over months, attracted many new players to World of Warcraft, and is certainly one of the reasons for Metashi’s significantly increasing follower count. As a result, he became one of the 10 big winners of the Sauercrowd event.
At the same time, Metashi is the only streamer who also landed on our list of losers of the Sauercrowd event. The reason: With an impulsive statement, he temporarily caused a lot of unrest in the Sauercrowd project. However, he was able to calm things down with his apology in front of the assembled team.
