In The First Descendant, Update 1.0.5 goes live on July 31, 2024. This brings a host of improvements for the player experience, but also a new class and a new Ultimate Descendant. We summarize the patch notes for you.
What are the highlights of the update? Update 1.0.5 brings several exciting innovations and adjustments. You can find the full English patch notes for Update 1.0.5 on page 2 of the article. We have summarized the highlights of the update in German for you.
New content:
- Ultimate Valby
- New Descendant: Luna
- New Boss Enemy: Gluttony (Void Intercept Battle)
- New Ultimate Weapon: Peace Maker
- New Module: Arche Concretion
Quality-of-life improvements:
- The number of Void Shards that can be acquired from Special Operations has increased by approximately seven times.
- An option to turn camera shake on and off has been added.
- Equipped items can now be marked as “Attached Items”.
- A search function has been added to the consumables menu.
- On PlayStation and Xbox, selectable keywords are now available in the library to simplify the search for modules and research.
- Some graphic settings now have images to illustrate what they do.
- There is now a “Leave Party” button in the Social menu, making this feature easier to find.
- There is now an option in the settings that allows some single-shot and burst weapons to fire automatically when the fire button is pressed and held.
Additionally, the areas Agna Desert, Vespers, Echo Swamp, Hagios, and Fortress Fields now have a 100% chance to spawn an Encrypted Vault when you travel to the area.
Update 1.0.5 introduces the new Descendant Luna
What can the new Descendant do? Luna’s abilities are designed for the use of sound. Luna plays music and influences both enemies and her teammates. With her skills, Luna is particularly suited as a supporter, as she is able to buff her comrades.
Here you can see an overview of Luna’s abilities:
- Passive Skill: Improvisation
- Using any skill increases the Inspiration Gauge, enabling Luna to use enhanced skills.
- Skill 1: Stage Presence
- Luna’s weapon transforms into her unique weapon when the skill is used.
- When Luna plays notes in time with the music by using skills or hitting monsters, she stacks them and increases her Skill Power Modifier.
- Skill 2: Passionate Stage
- By playing cheerful music, you increase the Skill Power Modifier of Luna and her allies.
- Additionally, the Critical Hit Rate and damage of allies increase when Luna performs the enhanced version of the skill (enhanced by her passive skill).
- Skill 3: Relaxing Act
- Luna plays relaxing music. When an enemy is hit by a note, Luna and her allies regenerate MP.
- When Luna performs the enhanced version of the skill, MP recovery increases and skill costs decrease (enhanced by her passive skill).
- Skill 4: Delightful Stage:
- Increases Luna’s Inspiration Gauge and reduces the cooldown of allies’ skills.
- When Luna performs the enhanced version of the skill, the Inspiration Gauge increases even more, and the skills’ cooldown of allies is reset immediately.
Update 1.0.5 buffs Descendants and Ultimate Weapon
Are there also changes to Descendants or weapons? Yes, Nexon is also making some changes to the Descendants and weapons with this patch.
Here are some of the changes from Patch 1.0.5:
Descendants:
- The poison range of Freyna’s Room 0 Trauma has been increased from a radius of 4 m to a radius of 7 m.
- The maximum scaling range of Valby’s skills has been increased from 200% to 250%.
- The maximum scaling range of Blair’s skills has been increased from 200% to 250%.
- The blizzard created by Viessa’s module “Glacial Cloud” now triggers instantly and without delay.
Weapons:
- The Critical Hit Damage of “Enduring Legacy” has been increased from 1.7x to 2.3x.
- The Critical Hit Rate of “Secret Garden” has been increased from 35% to 50%.
- The Critical Hit Damage of “Secret Garden” has been increased from 1.85x to 2.25x.
- The Critical Hit Rate of “Nazeistra’s Devotion” has been increased from 36% to 45%.
- The Critical Hit Damage of “Nazeistra’s Devotion” has been increased from 2x to 2.25x.
The two Ultimate Weapons “Enduring Legacy” and “Secret Garden” were already among the best weapons in the game before the patch.
