WoW Legion Remix has come to an end. Only now at the conclusion do many fans realize how much fun they actually had.
A few hours ago, the alternate timeline closed and WoW Legion Remix has come to an end. No more bronze can be issued, the rewards are locked, the turbo-leveling is over, and the feeling of complete superiority is gone. However, how well the game mode was received by the community is evident now on social media: Many are saying goodbye to Legion Remix and even state: It was the greatest fun one could have in WoW.
Legion Remix looked like a flop but then became a hit: It’s quite curious how popular Legion Remix ended up being. Before the mode was even released, there was serious criticism of the initial plans. Progress was supposed to be noticeably slower, and the heroic world mode was almost not rewarding at all. However, Blizzard changed course and managed to make Legion Remix a similar success (if not even bigger) than Mists of Pandaria Remix.

WoW community celebrates Legion Remix, bids farewell wistfully
Community says goodbye: Especially in the WoW subreddit, many posts can currently be found where people are bidding farewell to Legion Remix. Already, some miss the feeling of “complete dominance” or the nice feeling of being able to play relevant content in the areas of Legion again and experience the great Order Hall campaigns.

Of course, some are cynically asking what to do in WoW now that Remix is over. But there can only be one answer to that:
Will Legion Remix ever come back? That seems rather unlikely, at least not in the next few years. Remix appears to be a recurring mode, albeit with different expansions. Even though Legion Remix was popular, many wish that the next one should be a “Shadowlands” or “Battle for Azeroth” variant of Remix. The two expansions would be perfect for Remix due to their extensive endgame content. Especially the Tower of Torghast could become a real hit for bronze farming and solely for cosmetic rewards.
So far, nothing has been announced in this regard. We probably shouldn’t expect anything before the end of Midnight – so sometime in 2027.
What other modes is Blizzard working on? Blizzard is continuously working on additional modes for World of Warcraft that go beyond Remix. One of these modes was Plunderstorm – but that won’t be returning anytime soon. However, we already know, that the developers are working on a horror mode in the meantime. Perhaps we might see something of that during the spooky season, at the end of October 2026…
