The anime of One Piece is starting its next chapter. Ruffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are heading to Egghead Island. In line with this, there is a new opening that already hints at many of the highlights from the arc.
What does the new trailer look like?
- The opening features an unusual art style with vibrant colors and softer contours.
- Various characters and scenes that appear on Egghead Island can be seen.
- Of course, Ruffy and his Gear 5, which he obtained on Wano Kuni, cannot be missing.
- The title song is “Us!” by Hiroshi Kitadani. The singer has already contributed a few songs for One Piece.
In the reddit forum, many fans are discussing the opening. Within two days, there have been 862 comments, many of which are positively surprised by the opening. For some fans, this new opening captures the “spirit of One Piece” which is inherently colorful and crazy.

New Opening of One Piece Contains Many Details
Attention, Spoilers: In the following text, we will address the experiences on Egghead Island. If you have not reached the current state of the manga yet, you should skip the following text.
As is common with many openings, the 26th opening of One Piece also contains some spoilers that already hint at the experiences in Egghead Island. Starting from minute 1:01, there are examples of combat scenarios where important characters face off against each other:
- Eustass Kid vs. Shanks
- Trafalgar Law vs. Blackbeard
- Kuzan vs. Monkey D. Garp
- Zorro vs. the Seraphim of Hawkeye
- Monkey D. Ruffy vs. Rob Lucci
The sad story surrounding Bartholomew Kuma is hinted at with a paw that appears at 1:17. Other side stories that are featured in the opening include the rescue mission of Korby (0:34) and the mystery surrounding Imu and the empty throne (1:10).
What details do fans particularly enjoy? Many users are excited about the costume change starting at 0:49. Initially, Ruffy is seen wearing his outfits before the time skip. From 0:53, stripes come into play that symbolize the different arcs. They dress the Straw Hat crew in the outfits they wore during the respective arcs.
