Pokémon Legends Z-A has only been released at the beginning of October, but you can soon dive into the next DLC. You will encounter not only new Pokémon but also, for the first time, opponents that even exceed the level cap.
What kind of DLC is this? As was already known before the release, there will also be a DLC for Pokémon Legends Z-A titled Mega Dimensions. This is set to be released on December 10, 2025.
In a new trailer, The Pokémon Company showcased what players can expect, with the biggest highlight being new challenges and a mechanics reminiscent of roguelites.
Strange portals and Pokémon that can even break the level cap
What can be seen in the trailer? The focus of the DLC is said to be the Pokémon Hoopa, which was introduced in Generation 6. Through a special ability, the mystical Pokémon opens portals in Illumina City, introducing new Pokémon into the game. You can see Alolan Marowak or Tectass, for example.
However, you cannot simply explore the portals without problems; you must create donuts that create a new wild sector. There you will find new Pokémon. Depending on the berries you use to create them, the donuts can bring different effects. The most important is time, as it seems you have a calorie count that defines how long you can stay in a portal.
There, you will also face challenging opponents, for the first time you can fight against Pokémon that are over level 100. In the trailer, the Marowak is level 164.
In this context, the trailer also showcases 2 new Mega Evolutions: one for Palimpalim and one for Espinodon. According to the official Pokémon website, players will be able to receive a stone for Mega Espinodon as a reward in ranked battles. The stone is expected to be included as a reward in Season 4. Together with the two new Raichu forms, there are currently 4 confirmed evolutions for the DLC.
As reported by the website Serebii (via x.com), another Mega Evolution is set to be revealed on November 19.
You can already pre-order the DLC in the Switch E-Shop. If you do so, you will receive 12 special Poké Balls.
