In The Division the release date for the PTS for update 1.8 on PS4 and Xbox One is known!
October 10.: The PTS have started, but there are problems with character import. Massive needs to perform maintenance on the console PTS. The servers are expected to be down for 3 hours. This means that around 1 PM, you should be able to play again.
Finally, it is happening: The public test servers for update 1.8 are starting on PS4 and Xbox One. For weeks, PC agents have been able to test the new content of this update on the PTS. Console players have only been able to watch until now.
Massive has just announced the release date:
- On October 10 at 10 AM our time, the PTS will go live on PS4 and Xbox One. So it will start tomorrow, Tuesday.
If you want to start right at launch, you have all night to download the required game data. Because the preload begins today:
- The preload for the PTS on PS4 and Xbox One starts on October 9 at 8 PM.
Important information about the console PTS
The PTS for update 1.8 are not accessible to every interested player on consoles. You need access permission:
- All console players who have already participated in the PTS for update 1.7 will automatically gain access to the PTS 1.8.
- Anyone who registered for the PTS 1.8 and was selected will now (shortly) receive an email from Ubisoft. It will contain the activation key. However, since the number of participants is limited, not all players who registered will receive a key.
The PTS on PS4 and Xbox One will start directly with phase 2 of the PTS, which is currently live on PC. This has already received some bug fixes.
