A Dark Zone event has started in The Division. You can find out what it brings and how long it lasts here.
The agency is eagerly waiting for Update 1.8 in the coming days and weeks, which will bring a lot of stuff that agents have been waiting for, in addition to two new game modes and a map expansion.
Although there is no concrete release date yet, if you want to pass the time until the launch, you can now benefit from a new event in the Dark Zone and grab more loot.
Event Info from October 20 to October 23
This Dark Zone event is not a “global event” but a kind of “weekend event” where you can earn more rewards than usual within a set period.
The event is divided into two phases:
- From October 20 to October 21 (each at 2 AM), Dark Zone supply drops will contain additional rewards. There is talk of a “double reward”.
- From October 21 to October 23 (each at 2 AM), supply drops will appear in the Dark Zone more frequently. They will appear every 30 minutes.
With supply drops, a crate with loot is dropped somewhere in the Dark Zone, protected by enemies. The agents who grab the loot first will get it. All others will go home empty-handed.
This means that at the event, you have the chance to get more loot or get loot faster through supply drops.
By the way: Yesterday, the “State of the Game” was canceled because some people from the community team are currently out of the office. Community developer Hamish Bode is currently at TwitchCon. The next weekly status report will therefore take place next Thursday, October 26.
By then, we should know if a special Halloween event in The Division is coming, which the developers mentioned a few weeks ago – or if this Dark Zone event was all they meant.
