At the annual “Ubiday” events, Ubisoft is inviting fans and cosplayers to a big party in Japan this year. As part of the event, the first cinematic of the upcoming expansion “Episode 2” for The Division 2 was shown. Watch the short film here.
What’s next for The Division 2? The post-apocalyptic shooter The Division 2 is about to receive its biggest expansion yet. Title Update 6 brings many balance changes and revamps some mechanics. Alongside this rather technical update, the free content DLC “Episode 2” will be released.
Episode 2 takes you to the Pentagon
With the new expansion, agents can expect a trip to the Pentagon. However, the form in which the content will come is still unknown. A specific release date for these announced contents has not yet been provided.
More information is expected on Wednesday, October 9, with the weekly community stream “State of the Game”.
At the “Ubiday” in Tokyo, there was a little teaser of the Pentagon in the form of a short cinematic trailer.
Ubiday surprises with Pentagon video
What was said about The Division 2 at Ubiday? At the annual fan and cosplayer meeting “Ubiday”, many Ubisoft developers and employees presented current titles from the publisher. The Division 2 also received a segment with Clint Hocking, Creative Director at Ubisoft, as a guest.
During the interview, the Ubisoft team talked about the current raid “Dark Hours” and discussed the mechanics of individual bosses and the story behind the villains. The already known changes from Title Update 6 were also mentioned.
Hocking also talks about the upcoming content expansion “Episode 2” and surprisingly announces that he has a small trailer with him, showcasing previously unseen material from the Pentagon update.

What does the video show? The cinematic trailer shows a drone shot of the Pentagon at night. Many soldiers from the mercenary group “Black Tusk” can be seen bringing a lot of equipment and supplies into the Pentagon.

The second shot shows the interior of the Pentagon, probably from the perspective of a Division agent. The voice indicates that these are the “DARPA” labs. “DARPA” is a U.S. technology agency and apparently has labs on the lower floors of the Pentagon in The Division 2.
The task of the “Division agents” now is to find out what technologies have fallen into the hands of the “Black Tusk” with the takeover of the Pentagon.
Where could the excerpt be from? The video is likely part of the introductory mission of the Pentagon and gives agents the reason why the former Department of Defense is now of interest to the Washington factions.
The expansions will be released in mid-October
What else is coming with Title Update 6? In recent weeks, more and more has been revealed about what the developers at Massive want to change with Title Update 6. Countless weapon balancing, comfort features, and more efficient builds are promised.
