The Division 2 is undergoing maintenance today, August 4, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Expect downtime as the servers go offline for several hours. Here’s everything important about the server down and the patch notes.
Update 11:30 AM: The maintenance is finishing one hour earlier than originally planned. The servers should now be back online on all platforms. Enjoy and good loot, Agents!
What is the maintenance about today? Even after the Title Update 10.1 the game is still being actively worked on.
Currently, Season 2 of The Division 2 is in full swing, and since July 28 the Global Event “Polarity Switch” is ongoing. Some agents experienced issues with the earned loot. This should be fixed with today’s maintenance.
Everything Important About the Maintenance on August 4
This is the schedule for today: The developers at Massive traditionally communicate the important times for today in advance. The maintenance should proceed as follows:
- The maintenance begins at 9:30 AM German time scheduled
- At 9:30 AM, the downtime begins, and the Division 2 servers will go offline
- According to Massive, the maintenance is expected to last around 3 hours. During this time, The Division 2 cannot be played
- If all goes smoothly, the servers should be back online by 12:30 PM German time
- The maintenance ends with the downtime
Important: The times indicated by Massive can certainly change during the course of the maintenance. Especially the end time is often adjusted – both earlier and later. If anything runs differently than outlined in the schedule today, we will update this article accordingly.
Patch Notes for the Maintenance on July 28
What precisely is changing with today’s maintenance? The official patch notes are very clear today. The aim of the maintenance is likely only the issues with loot during the polarity switch event. The change log states:
- All polarity switch rewards that you earned during the event but did not receive will now be credited retroactively
Other changes or fixes are apparently not planned for today.
What else is currently to be done in The Division 2? In the meantime, the 2nd raid “Operation: Steel Horse” is also in the game. This is a previously unreleased content from Year 1, available free of charge to all owners of the base game – regardless of additional optional content.
In this PvE top activity, you fight against the True Sons faction. Their members have taken refuge in a metal foundry and are producing new weapons there. As a Division agent, it is your job to prevent this.
