In The Division 2 today, on September 1st, maintenance was performed, and the servers went offline for a few hours. All platforms are affected – so PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Update 12:15 PM: The maintenance is now complete, and the servers should be available again on all platforms.
Why the maintenance? Even in the ongoing Season 2 work on The Division 2 continues – sometimes with larger updates like Title Update 10.1, but mostly on a smaller scale. So, during the current maintenance, only a few minor adjustments are being made, and the in-game store is being updated with a small feature.
Maintenance Process on September 1st
These times are important today: The developers at Massive have outlined the process for today already on Twitter.
The maintenance will begin at 9:30 AM German time. The downtime will start at that time, the servers will shut down, and remain offline for several hours.
The server downtime is expected to take 3 hours. During this time, you will also be unable to play The Division 2. If everything goes smoothly, the Division 2 servers should be back online by 12:30 PM German time at the latest. With the servers coming back online, the downtime ends, and so does today’s maintenance.
Please note: The outlined process may change during the maintenance. Especially at the end of the maintenance, the times often shift. If anything runs differently today than communicated here, we will adjust this article accordingly.
What the Patch Notes say
What is changing today: Today’s maintenance does not bring any major changes, so the change log is quite concise this time.
2 issues are being fixed, and the in-game store will be enhanced with a small additional feature:
- An issue was fixed that caused irregularities with shooting and aiming of the sniper turret.
- An issue was fixed that occasionally caused the checkpoint for the heroic boss in Tidal Basin to not function.
- Level skips for Season 2 have been added to the in-game shop and can now be purchased there.
It seems that no further changes are planned for today.
