In The Division 2, there is a new exotic weapon available exclusively through the Raid Operation: Dark Hours. Here’s how you can obtain the new automatic rifle Eagle Bearer.
Operation: Dark Hours, the first raid in The Division 2, has some cool rewards to offer. In addition to three new gear sets, there is also a new weapon, the exotic assault rifle Eagle Bearer, which can only be obtained through this new PvE endgame activity. We’ll explain how you can get this weapon exotic there.
How to earn the Eagle Bearer in The Division 2
What exactly do you have to do for this new weapon? Earning the weapon isn’t really complex, but it’s far from easy. There’s no way around the raid, but even there you will have to put in some serious effort for the Eagle Bearer. Additionally, you’ll need a good portion of luck on your side.
Because there is no method to earn the new firearm directly. Currently, this new exotic assault rifle can only be obtained in two ways:
- Boss Drops: After each of the four boss encounters in the raid, you have a chance to receive a drop of the weapon.
- Loot Chest: There’s also a chance to get this weapon from the locked loot chest at the end of the raid. For that, you need the corresponding keys. So far, 6 different key locations are known.
In short: You need to kill bosses in the raid if you want the weapon, which has turned out to be quite challenging, especially on consoles. If you’re lucky, you’ll have an additional chance through the chest. Reports suggest that the weapon is very rare. So you can expect a considerable amount of grind.

What can the new exotic assault rifle Eagle Bearer do?
Visually, it’s a variant of the assault rifle P416. But the talents are truly exotic. Will the Eagle Bearer compete with the Nemesis sniper ? Those who enjoy playing in a Rambo fashion will likely have a lot of fun with this new exotic.
Here are the stats of an Eagle Bearer (Gear Score 500):
- Damage (DPS): 16,400
- Shots per Minute (SPM): 750
- Magazine Size (MAG): 60
- Reload Time: 1.9s
- Critical Hit Range: 10 – 50 meters
Here are the talents of the Eagle Bearer:
Eagle’s Strike
- Precision increases by up to +100% when firing continuously.
- Kills by headshots grant +100% reload speed, +35% damage, and the Tenacity buff for 10 seconds.
- The strength of Tenacity is increased by 1% for each consecutive body shot and by 5% for each consecutive headshot.
Tenacity
- 20 – 80% of incoming damage is reduced (depending on the number of stacks), until this buff effect expires. After that, the bearer will take the damage that was previously absorbed. Each kill during the Tenacity effect reduces the damage that the bearer will take after the effect ends by 20%. After 5 kills, this damage is completely negated.
Protected Fire
- While the weapon is holstered, you receive 10% bonus armor while firing with your currently equipped weapon.

- Target Optic: +10% critical hit chance
- Magazine: +30 shots
- Underbarrel: +10% stability
- Muzzle Brake: +15% critical hit damage
