In The Division, the PTS for Update 1.8 is entering Phase 3 today.
The new features of Update 1.8 have already been available for testing on public test servers for weeks. At least on PC. The console PTS, on the other hand, has only been live for a week.
As the developers have now announced, the test servers will likely remain live for a while. Because today, on October 18, 2017, a new PTS phase begins that will also be tested for a while.
- On October 18 at 10 AM our time, the PC PTS will be shut down. Maintenance will take place, which is expected to last 30 minutes. Once the servers are back online around 10:30 AM, Phase 3 of the PTS for Update 1.8 will be available.
Important: Phase 3 is only coming to PC today. Updates for consoles must first undergo a certification process. When – and if – PTS 3 will come to PS4 and Xbox One will be seen in the future.
PTS 3 for Update 1.8 – Patch Notes
The official patch notes are still pending. Massive states that these will be published as soon as possible. They are expected to arrive during the course of today. We will update this article then.
It can be assumed that there will be some bug fixes and balance adjustments. That’s what the PTS is there for: to fix bugs early and to make fine-tunings.
There is still no concrete release date for Update 1.8 on the live servers. So far, Massive and Ubisoft have mentioned “Autumn 2017.” Assuming that the PTS Phase 3 lasts another week and then the PTS will be shut down, a release date could be aimed for mid-November. Because after the PTS, Massive still has some preparations for the launch to make, which in the past took about two weeks.
