Survival and base building are important in Rend. However, to gather resources, you must also explore the world. Your journey will take you to Stagswood.
A dark forest contains valuable resources for your base
Not a walk in the park. Stagswood may seem like a beautiful forest, inviting you for a little hike. However, you should always be aware of the dangers lurking among the tall trees and in the underbrush. But you will need to enter the forest repeatedly, as there are several tasks awaiting you:
- Gather resources: Provide your faction with wood to construct new buildings. You can also find metal ores that you need to smelt for further processing.
- Resources: In the forest, you will find wood and also the Skogurfrut berry. In the caves, you will mine for metal ores.
- Strategically important: Stagswood serves as a natural boundary to your territory and is a strategic outpost from which you can launch further exploration trips.
- Climate: Although the daytime climate is moderate, it gets cool at night in the forest, which means you will consume more energy when running and fighting.
- Fauna: The forest is not a place for the inattentive: Glowing deer are not easy prey, and wargs and cave dwellers are licking their lips for you.
Deer with massive antlers. Stagswood is named for the powerful deer that inhabit it, whose antlers are so large that they can even reach the treetops. While these majestic creatures often flee when they see humans, when cornered, they will fight to the utmost and use their antlers as deadly weapons. If you take down a deer, you will receive leather as a resource and its meat to create food.
Rend aims to take the survival game genre to the next level. The game is currently in the alpha phase.
