The Canadian police found the Sword of the Lich King. However, rather in an unusual place and not in a dungeon in WoW. Instead, the weapon is found with a 17-year-old who has other unusual things at home.
The Canadian police discovered not only illegal firearms and drugs during a raid on two Canadians (26 and 17 years old) but also a strange sword. The sword is evidently a famous weapon that WoW players might recognize.
During a raid, the Sword of the Lich King is found
What did the police find? In total, a whole range of items was found on the person:
- nine firearms that were illegally possessed and acquired
- over 130 grams of a substance that is probably crack
- machetes
- a sword
- bear ammunition and other ammunition for firearms
But what is really interesting is what the Canadian police merely referred to as a “sword.” The colleagues from PCGamer already complain that it is almost outrageous that they only refer to the Sword of the Lich King as “just” a sword. After all, one can clearly recognize “Frostgram,” even though the colleagues add a “hopefully.”
Presumably, the police were not even aware of what they had confiscated. Otherwise, their description would have been more specific.
Famous sword costs over 1,000 euros as a replica
What kind of sword is this? Frostgram is one of the most iconic weapons in WoW and was wielded by Arthas Menethil until the weapon was eventually destroyed in the Icecrown Citadel. Frostgram was cursed, consuming the soul of its wielder and absorbing the souls of those slain by it.
Blizzard has been selling a replica of this sword in its official gear store for some time now. The price is $1,500. It is currently sold out and will be available again starting November 2023. Blizzard lists the official dimensions for the sword:
- 1.25 m (H) x 33.2 cm (W) x 12 cm (L)
- 7.6 kg
- zinc-copper alloy, stainless steel, leather
- certificate of authenticity included
- officially licensed
It is therefore probably not surprising that the Canadian police first packed up “Frostgram” and took it away. Whether the weapon will later return to the possession of the Canadian is unknown.
