In Throne and Liberty, many players gather to defeat the Archbosses. Due to the high number of players, crashes are not uncommon, which even required intervention from the developers. However, there is a trick to help prevent crashes.
What are the Archbosses? In Throne and Liberty, there are various bosses encountered in different locations. The rarest bosses are the so-called Archbosses. They appear only rarely and at scheduled times that are announced long in advance.
The loot dropped by these bosses is powerful and valuable. Anyone who receives an item from an Archboss can consider themselves lucky. Due to the rare spawns and good loot, these bosses are highly sought after, leading to many people gathering in the area. So many, in fact, that it results in game crashes.

What can be done to prevent crashes? The Archbosses attract so many players that Throne and Liberty begins to lag for many. In some cases, the players themselves cause crashes, which can also result in lost loot.
To prevent this from happening, there is an option in the settings that reduces the load on your computer. You can decrease the number of characters visible around you. This way, you see fewer other players, and the game runs much smoother.
Where can you adjust this setting? Go to the settings (on PC, press O) and navigate to the Graphics tab. There you will find under Quality in the “Standard” category, in fifth place, the option for “Character Count”.
It’s best to set the character count to low to maximize performance.
Important: Just remember to revert the option before you dive into the next PvP battle, or you might find yourself running into a horde of enemies and only realize it too late.
If you want even more performance, you can also hide the abilities of other players. To do this, go back to the settings and this time go to the Gameplay tab. There, under Characters in the “Attack” section, you will find the option to adjust ability effects right at the top.
All bosses in Throne and Liberty are diverse and come with their own mechanics and abilities. Although the Archbosses may belong to the most powerful and offer good loot, they are not necessarily the most annoying.
