Fans of GTA 5 have been waiting in vain for over 10 years after release for a DLC for the story mode – we almost got Trevor as a secret agent.
Who is this about?
- The Canadian actor Steve Ogg (50) played the impulsive criminal Trevor Philips in GTA V, who is one of the playable characters in the action game along with his accomplices Michael De Santa and Franklin Clinton.
- Trevor is one of the most memorable characters of the game and stands out throughout the story due to his fiery nature and escapades – not least because you wake up in a pink dress when you switch to him for a mission.
- In addition to his role as Trevor, Steve Ogg is also seen in successful series like Better Call Saul and The Walking Dead.
In a Q&A stream on YouTube, Steve Ogg recently talked about a story DLC for GTA 5 that never came out. Also present in the stream were Shawn Fonteno (Franklin) and Ned Luke (Michael De Santa), that can be seen on his YouTube channel.

What’s special about this DLC? GTA V has – even though it has been out for over 10 years – not received a single DLC for the story, meaning the offline mode. Instead, there have been numerous updates for the online mode that brought new buildings, heists, countless vehicles, and even the casino.
In the stream, the three actors of Trevor, Michael, and Franklin talk about DLCs for the story mode where the three would have their own campaign. Steve Ogg explains that he would really love it if all three characters had their own game. Shawn Fonteno is also enthusiastic about the idea of a Franklin, Michael, and Trevor DLC.
Ned Luke goes a step further and says he believes that was originally the plan before GTA Online came. Nevertheless, a story DLC is also his wish since there was already one for GTA IV.
Steve Ogg then shares that he has even shot a Trevor DLC (via YouTube).
Trevor as a Secret Agent
What kind of Trevor DLC is this? According to Steve Ogg, he and Rockstar Games had already been working on a sort of “James Bond Trevor” DLC for GTA V, in which Trevor would have been undercover for the federal authorities.
Steve Ogg had already shot some scenes for the DLC, but then it just “disappeared” at Rockstar Games and was never completed.
And we shot some of these scenes with ‘James Bond Trevor’. He is still quite a bastard, but he does his best to pretend to be […]. We shot some stuff, and then it just disappeared and they [Rockstar] never did it, they never followed up on it.
