What criteria were used for selection? We relied on the data from the analysis website SteamDB to identify the “most played games” on Steam.
Looking at the statistics, one genre clearly leads the list in terms of player numbers: Shooter. They are far ahead here. Additionally, only multiplayer games occupy the top 5 positions in the ranking (as of April 21, 2023).
