Leap of Faith
Class: Priest (all)
Hardly any spell has caused as much joy and as much suffering as Leap of Faith. The ability allows the priest to select a friendly target in the group and pull them to their own position – whether the victim wants it or not.
This makes Leap of Faith the perfect means to save careless teammates from their own deaths – especially when they park in a fire zone again or think it’s a good idea to stand in the boss’s frontal cone attack. A quick Leap of Faith can save from death and at the same time make it clear to the target: “I saw very clearly that you almost just died. Here’s your second chance. Thanks to me.”
This feels pretty good.
Sure, you could also use Leap of Faith for nefarious purposes – for example, to pull group members near the edge or into a fire zone. But no one would ever do something like that.
Even though Death Grip has a similar mechanic and works with enemies, it’s usually more satisfying to manipulate a character you wouldn’t normally have much influence over – namely an ally.
For this reason, you should bribe priests with a decent amount of gold at the beginning of each raid to make sure they always have an eye on a saving Leap of Faith – or at least do not use a disruptive Leap of Faith. Who knows, if you pay enough, perhaps a Soul of Power might be included.
