Diabolic Ritual
Class: Warlock (Demonology and Destruction)
Diabolic Ritual is one of the new hero talents introduced with The War Within. Although the ritual is actually just a passive effect, it ensures that one of the next spells has significantly more “bang” and comes with devastating effects.
In the case of a destruction warlock, for example, the ritual ensures that after a short duration, the next Chaos Bolt additionally summons one of three huge demons with different effects:
- A Pit Lord who peeks half out of his portal and deals multiple ticks of area damage.
- A Shivarra who screams and then casts a strong, channeled spell on an enemy.
- A High Commander who charges at the nearest enemy and deals devastating area damage with a powerful strike.
Every time Diabolic Ritual is charged, you practically live the power fantasy of the dark warlock who summons the greatest demons from the Twisting Nether and sends them against your enemies.
It’s no surprise that Diabolic Ritual is one of the most popular hero talents, as every time the big Nether portal opens next to the warlock, it simply feels grand.
