The weapon meta in the free Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone is currently in a kind of dead end. The LMG Bren and the SMG MP40 are by far the most popular firearms, but in reality, many weapons are strong and usable.

Cooper Carbine – Versatile like a good pocket knife
What can the Cooper Carbine? The newest assault rifle in Warzone is currently being compared to the XM4 from Cold War at its peak: This thing can do just about everything.
There are strong setups for close combat and range, the weapon is very easy to control and ranks high in damage in the popular weapon class of assault rifles.
We recommend a setup from Warzone expert “JGOD” (via YouTube). For him, the long-range variant is currently the best assault rifle. However, the Cooper Carbine has a significant drop in damage at just under 22 meters with this setup as it enters its second damage range early.

BAR – Full control with good movement
What can the BAR? With the comfortable assault rifle BAR, it is less about damage – it’s about hitting. The weapon has a very low rate of fire, but it is easy to keep on target.
The setup comes from Warzone data analyst “TrueGameData” (via YouTube). He even considers the setup to be “overpowered” because it is so easy to play with. Especially the 4x scope has impressed him. There is no assault rifle that plays so easily with such high zoom.

C58 – The old meta still works
What can the C58? The assault rifle was at the top of the meta lists just before the integration of weapons from CoD: Vanguard – together with the EM2.
And both assault rifles can still hold their own in Warzone. The C58 has moved up a bit after a nerf to the EM2 and now represents a lot of damage with suitable control. However, the C58 is not that easy to control – it has noticeable but manageable recoil.
