Welcome to our list of the best shooters. You are on page 4 – here you can return to the homepage.
Rainbow Six: Siege
What makes the game special? Rainbow Six: Siege is an intense tactical shooter, in which the destructible environment dominates the gameplay. You play as one of the unique operators, each bringing their own abilities and gadgets. Participants are divided into 2 teams of 5 players. One team defends while the other attacks.
Defenders must barricade rooms and strategically position themselves to prevent attackers from successfully breaking in. In Rainbow Six: Siege, you can completely destroy entire walls to create new pathways or shoot enemies.
What game modes are available? In addition to the intense 5v5 matches, where you must defuse a bomb or rescue a hostage, there is also one cooperative game mode. However, this is only relevant as a warm-up for the ‘real’ game.
Who should take a closer look at the game? Even if starting anew in the game can be very challenging due to 7 years of continuous support, Rainbow Six: Siege is worth a look. The mixture of intense tactical and strategic hero shooter remains unique in its form on the market.
The tactical destruction of the environment and diverse ways to help your team in a match make this shooter a great choice.
Valorant
What makes the game special? With Valorant, the creators of the MOBA League of Legends have tried their hand at making a shooter – and they did so with great success. The core structure of the game clearly references Counter-Strike. However, here, MOBA-like hero characters are also a part of the game.
What game modes are available? Although there are deathmatch modes, Valorant is fundamentally a team shooter and clearly inspired by CSGO.
Teams of 5 players face off. One team tries to plant a bomb (called “Spike” in the game), while the other must prevent it. There are no respawns, and weapons must be purchased at the start of each round.
Who should take a closer look at the game? Valorant offers tactical gameplay like CSGO, but combines it with the various character skills. This ensures that the game sets itself distinctly apart from competing products, more than one might initially think.
The gunplay is not as difficult and mechanically complex as in CSGO, but the characters’ abilities offer many new strategic options. A good team that you feel comfortable with makes Valorant transition from a good to a fantastic tactical shooter.
Overwatch 2
What makes the game special? Overwatch is a hero shooter through and through. Each character is assigned to a class, and each match requires a set number of heroes from specific classes.
The characters all come with their own weapons and skills – no hero plays like the other. From the “Call of Duty” hero who can sprint and comes with an assault rifle to the ninja hero who focuses solely on close combat, there is everything available.
What game modes are available? You must capture, defend, or escort a “payload.” There are also hybrid forms of the modes. Overwatch 2 focuses on 5v5 battles, consisting of one tank, two damage dealers, and two supporters.
Additionally, Overwatch offers you special event modes that are supposed to bring some variety. A PvE mode with progression systems is also planned for the future, although that might be buy2play.
Who should take a closer look at the game? Overwatch is for team players. The heroes allow interesting tactics and shared synergies. This can be very rewarding when playing well together. Conversely, solo players are usually at a disadvantage.
If you are looking for a team shooter with great potential for many different tactics, then take a closer look at Overwatch 2.
The next page starts with a shooter franchise that is currently in a bit of a crisis.
